On my way to work this morning there was a pair of blackbirds fluttering against each other in a ritual lasting several minutes as part of their spring mating. Then I came across a pair of plump pigeons where the male lazily climbed on the female and penetrated her for all of 5 seconds before sliding off and pecking away at a discarded takeaway on the floor.
One of the above scenarios seemed particularly familiar to me.
