This time I am playing as a dark elf and will only use lightning/fire destruction to kill and try to level up that way. Levelling destruction is tricky - it only levels when causing damage. I’ve found playing as a mage to be a completely different game to playing as a tank. One tip I can offer is to try to lure single enemies out - since you don’t have armour (I assume, as it limits the strength of destruction magic), you don’t want to end up in a brawl with multiple opponents. |

GET No More Dead Followers By the way, this one is absolutely mandatory - I can’t stress that enough. I did still manage to kill a follower on one occasion though, mostly because my lightning destruction magic was so overpowered. |

Seeing someone get hit with an arrow and just topple forwards isn’t great, prefer it when they go flying backwards. But asking for realistic physics in a Bethesda game is pointless.

Flying backwards hardly seems in line with conservation of momentum.
An arrow weighing say 200 grams won't launch even a 70 kg weakling very far in the air.
