Ah, there's nothing like a new Boston Dynamics' video to make me feel all excited and utterly revolted and scared at the same tine. Games: None. OTTDM: Tonight I watched a film called "Top Gun". I have not seen it before, but I understand it has some cultural import among certain sections of society. It is a badly acted, badly written, badly filmed, 100 minute advert for the American military, abusive narcissistic personality types, and homoeroticism. Four stars, would not recommend. To be clear, I don't have a problem with homoerotic films. I don't really enjoy them though, and I think it would be healthy if they were less repressed. Morning!
Lunchblog, Pork leg joint roasting in the oven. Carrots, cauliflower and brocolli prepped and in the steamer. Roasties peeled. Cheat aunt Bessies in the freezer. I am going to eat my own weight. You heard.
OTTM, one child back in school in the morning, other delayed by two weeks (for now). This is not helping family unity one bit.
OOTTDFM, after 4 weeks off it's back to work tomorrow. Kill me.

Hello all.
Somehow, I was able to stay in bed til gone 9AM this morning. Clearly I needed it - yesterday, I was feeling a bit coldy (sore throat, runny nose, bit of a cough). Feeing a bit like that today, so taking it easy seems like a good plan.
Gamesblog: Mercenaries. First Ace card taken down, and managed to bring him in alive too.
I thought this would move me on to a second map, but alas, no.
TVblog: finished two series last night: The Office, and Justified. Both brilliant in their own ways.
OTTM: back to work tomorrow. And have just heard that schools in the Brighton & Hove area won’t be accepting pupils back til 18th January. Remote-learning with a four year old!

I read an interview with Cher in the Guardian recently where it was mentioned that she said Tom Cruise was one of her top 5 shags. I saw Top Gun in the cinema. I then remember every cunt getting leather flying jaikets.

I've been humming and hawing about whether to post this attachment which is drawn from an analysis by a guy who gave it to a very acute and intelligent journalist / editor friend (a right gabby bastard). Anyway, I think I ought to give you the chance to read it and make up your own minds. To me it is patently obvious that the government are not telling us all the truth; perhaps for good reasons. But the continuance by politicians of the policy of telling half the truth or obfuscating it can only be counter productive... the government who cried dangerous dog... Kelly Mcgillis - not tids' neighbour. I'm not into marrers either (or rather they're not into me). I absolutely hated the inherent message that being a shit strutting around like a dung heap cockerel, crowing and wiping out your competitors and humping everything in sight, was the way to win the women. The fact that at that time there seemed to be some truth in it I found incredibly depressing. |
