Gather ‘round, bloggers young’n’old! For I have a tale for you of my afternoon...
Eating my lunch (garlic chicken with spaghetti in lemon/EVOO), and my son jumps off the arms of the sofa. He lands flat on his back with a crump.
My partner walks out of the kitchen to find out what the sound was. He starts to cry as she gets to him. As she cradles him, he goes limp and loses consciousness for two seconds. He wakes up with a start.
I get him to count my fingers, see if he can feel his toes, tell me different colours, and all answers are correct.
There is an interminable wait on the 111 line, so we bundle into the car and tear along the seafront to the Royal Alex children’s hospital in Brighton.
I wasn’t able to go in (COVID precautions). But they gave him the once over, and informed us that he doesn’t have a concussion. Apparently, the reaction he had was a reflex that young kids can have when banging their heads...
After an hour’s observation (during which I took a walk along the prom), he was discharged.
So that’s another year knocked off my life.

Animal how many emergency trips to children's A&E is that now? I think we are up to 5 now for Kid 1.
1. PM gave too much epilepsy medicine
2. Baby had trouble breathing with flu x 2
3. Kid fell and hurt ankle
4. Baby trapped finger in cot

By default ProBoards operates a 5 star system, but I decided thet 4 star maximum was the Chatterbox way. 4 stars. Moderators automatically get 5 stars. I don't think that can be changed. |

It's irritating that the Government is doing so well on the vaccination program after fucking everything else up for the last year and will get all the benefits from it.
I'm also glad that they are doing so well.
