Lunchblog: cheese on toast.
I wanted to use my lunch hour to also prepare the marinade for my leftover pork from yesterday, to make pork bulgogi. Alas, the Apple I had designed on was destined for another mouth.
I have been promised that more apples are due in the Tesco delivery later, so I should be fine. Should be fine. Should be.

I had a baked potato for lunch. At least - I put a potato in the oven while I went out to a branch of Tesco. I came back and found it only a third baked, so put it in the microwave. In the end it just tasted like a microwaved potato. Not baked at all.

Morning Technokings!
Valheim! Amazing developments over the weekend. Having set up my lodgings on the edge of the Black Forest, and got all the stuff I think is available in the meadow, I decided to take on the Meadows boss. Luckily they were located right next to my starting point. After making a sacrifice a massive electric stag turned up and proceeded to kick the shit out of me, had a go at my lodgings and smashed a wall down when I tried to run off, and roundly trounced me three of four times, before I gave it short shrift and smashed it to oblivion. Now I have a rather snazzy mining pickaxe and can mine copper! I've yet to find the ingredients necessary for smelting said however. With my newly found confidence I also went and smashed some skeletons (also died several times), and made myself a lovely cape.
Also realised I'm a few scraps of leather from being able to build a raft. Next up, an ill advised tour, sailing the seven seas!

Is the meadow boss Eikthyr? The one who rouses the animals to lay seige to your lodgings once in a while?
An icon for Eikthyr appears on my map, but it's on the other side of a river, with a big stretch of Black Forest to get through first.

Lunchblog: I thought I'd make a cheese omelette, nice and quick. Reader, I done fucked up... due to various probs I have eschewed fried food (ho, ho, ho). I am so out of practice I did a load of things wrong. I didn't let the eggs warm up to room temperature, I didn't add a teaspoon of water before beating them and didn't aerate it long enough, I didn't test the pan to ensure it was blistering hot so ensuring that the centre of it had the texture of a cork mat; and finally I didn't chuck the yellow rubber monstrosity away. As for 'quick' there's a mountain of washing up to do and I have an alien reassembling itself in my gut...

Eikthyr is the one. For me the place where you summon them turned out to be right next to the stone henge thing at the start of the game. If its a long way off, you'd probably want to build another camp nearer where they are. |

This is my plan. I have a camp but it keeps getting attacked by 'Greydwarfs' and a poisonous Greydwarf Shaman, so I have another camp nearby to support that camp. This first camp isn't even the camp I need. It's a camp to support my sorties over the river. There's practically an ocean between Eithkyr and my original stone henge. |
