Just watched Misery for the first time. Great film, but I don't think I will ever think of Kathy Bates in the same way again. Or sledge hammers.

Ugh, put in the effort all day with my uni coursework with the promise of some gaming time in the evening. Me and my mate head on to ffxiv to do the mission we failed last time. I spent about an hour beforehand unlocking abilities and customising my hotbar and we still failed. Waste of a night.
It's almost enough to make me want to return to nier....

Also, dinner was homemade pizza topped with garlic, chilli, mozzarella and... The meat from some sausages I panic-bought earlier in the week.
It was pretty tasty, but feels less so after reading about this Thai curry and Yorkshire pudding combo.

I've been watching Star Trek Discotheque.
I like it.
So far, zero cowboy planets/1930s gangster planets/Nazi planets, pregnant spaceships or Celtic ghosts.
Plus, it's got swears in it.

I only read the book and later watched a bit of the film through my fingers. I'm still not ready for the whole thing. No wonder Elton John was getting a bit jumpy when his Number One Fan was trying to touch him.

I just wanted to touch Reg. It's not every day you see a bald midget from Watford.

Morning, Watched I Tonya last night. Funny, sad and the husbands friend was just surreal.
Read up on data usage for GTA so played a little via the mifi. The daughter is obsessed with a CBBC show called waffles about a dog. She's ramping up her pet campaign.
Plans for today? We're off to Mrs Cranks folks for lunch. May have to shovel snow from their drive. My economics teacher was right - there's no such thing as a free lunch.

The water pipe in our garage burst. Water everywhere. Plumber coming at 2.30 hopefully to fix it. Water has been turned off but now no central heating. Stuff of nightmares. I did shit on Fortnite again as well.

Ouch. Hope the plumber turns up.

The plumber turning out to be a giant spider, you suffering from paralysis, and all your teeth falling out, that would really be the stuff of nightmares. Wet garage and a cold house is shitty life stuff, which is much worse than nightmares.

The arachno-plumber would also be highly amorous, and sporting a large moustache and denim jorts.

Mrs Fark has gone to a luxury spa with her mother, leaving me to deal with the plumber. I will have a scan of the footy and other sport news to ensue a degree of small talk can take place. I will try to refer to him as "pal" and have a beer on the go as he arrives. Hopefully I have at least the basics covered here.

Off to a spa. Broke a pipe in the garage before I went so MrFark doesnt have time to play that fortnite game.

Quiet in here today.
I'm cooking chicken and chorizo jambalaya for tea.

Chorizo in the dry pan. Once the oil comes out slotted spoon out the chorizo for later addition. Then start the recipe with the chorizo oil.
We had chicken/mushroom white wine & creme fraiche thing with rice. As I was making soup at the same time I forgot to add the peas. Rookie error.
The rain is on here. Hopefully it will clear the streets of the filth and the snow. Back to work tomorrow. Stuff I hope is cancelled won't be and I won't have had time to prepare due to snow days.
{Edit} Have now realised I had chorizo in the fridge that could have gone in the soup. Damn it.

The thaw has done for my snowman, whose head now lies shattered beside him, his body leaning at such an angle that his twiggy arms are at the 9 o clock position as if shaking a defiant fist at the sky.

A striker scored a hattrick for my team today, so far so good, but when he did the obligatory 'three' pose for a photograph after the game he used his thumb. What's that all about?

Is he German? I'm thinking inglorious bastards Nope, he's scottish. He's surely been brought up signalling three in the correct manner, with palms facing the signaller and using the index and middle finger on one hand and the middle finger on the other.
