It is a Subaru Forester in metallic green with the all-weather pack. So, I'll be all nice and toasty when I'm doing bad things. Lovely.

I’ve just read that Paul Ritter died at home alongside his wife and two sons. I didn’t think that kind of thing happened anymore.

I’ve just read that Paul Ritter died at home alongside his wife and two sons. I didn’t think that kind of thing happened anymore. I'm pretty sure I don't remember that episode of Friday Night Dinner. Yes, for people receiving planned end of life care, choosing the place of death can be an important part of that. For some conditions and family circumstances, that choice might be fairly limited. But many patients plan with their families and carers where they want to die, and often chose for that to be at home.

I've never seen Friday Night Dinner. I expect it was a terrible programme aimed at slightly smug middle class people.

I'm sure the Forester is very nice, but buying a Subaru that isn't an Impreza just seems wrong. The sort of thing Amipal would do. I want a car that is practical with a family.
It's like you never imagined being Colin McRae

I was wondering about a battered pork pie the other day. I think it could work. Wrapping batter around a crusty pastry which is then wrapped around a layer of jellied pork? I would worry that the integrity of the pork pie would fail during the battering process. On the subject of pork pies our local butcher does a brilliant one. It's generously sized* and has a firm crust which is nicely glazed. The pie itself is sufficiently salty* and has the perfect texture too. * No penis jokes please. **No semen jokes please. I'm thinking it should be served with gravy. Or mushy peas.

Finally lost it with lockdown and got the car sorted for dogging? Although I guess with fewer people driving in lockdown insurance and accident rates should have gone right down over the last year?

Oh it was on Channel 4. I retract my original review.
I expect It was a terrible programme aimed at slightly smug 30-50 year old middle class people.
No doubt whatsoever in my mind.
I'm not sure my TV even receives Channel 4. It's not that i am not slightly smug 30-50 and middle class. It's more I don't like people. <shrugs> I did like Chernobyl though. He was good in that.

I've never seen it either. Do you think it would be suitable for someone in the 'very smug' demographic?

Tiddles you need an HDMI or optical cable. Optical cables have an odd fit so it is easy to not do it quite right. Did I mention I'm inheriting a car? Some Subaru thing. Mum wants rid of it.
