It'll be funny as fuck watching Gary and the lads swallowing their words and signing gazillion pound deals to cover Inter vs Chelsea live from Beijing or Los Angeles in 2025.

On the plus side, given a choice of 6 English clubs I would happily never see or hear from again they would be in the top 10. Just below Boro?

The bigger clubs should have teams playing in all the leagues. Why not?.
Liverpool, maybe, for example ... Have a team in, maybe, a higher league, but also have one in the Vanarama National League North.
Give the fans the gift of realness.

Then it'll be no relegation for chosen teams; games split into quarters to allow more ad breaks; 5 grand for a season ticket; and Robbie Savage elected as PM in 2028. Mark my words.

People are chatting (online) as if the Premier League is a crucible of local support and authenticity. It was / is a grim business. A climbing into the bed of old man Murdoch.
I don’t mind the idea of a super league, in principle, though without the chance to be promoted into or relegated from it it sounds a bit sterile.

If the founding teams get to stay in the league, no matter what, that’s insane. Though, actually - the Eurovision Song Contest has a similar mechanism and that’s pretty entertaining.

Speedball 2 always seemed like quite a commercial game.
I’d love to watch a match.
