Which day is bdt? No thunder here, is black brain fungus the new zombie ant fungus?
Bad weather at the start of this year has meant a T1 spray on wheat with T2 needed as well. Loss of chlorothalonil is an issue as it provided upward protection.

You should have risk managed that with a T0 spray in March when the weather was actually sufficiently dry for it, you ninnyhammer.

Some people claim BDT is reserved for Thursdays, but clearly it can be on any day that starts with a T, such as Today.

Not had a chance to play it yet, I will try to do so this morning.

Amipal - I think they managed to plunder quite a bit of the old developer's team to make this one, so it is considered a true R-Type game.

This is the future that human man faces.

I played Player Unknown's Battlegrounds last night. It was ok. I fought off some bots. We fought off some bots. Some robots? They were murderous in any case. My friend and I fought them off, until real people arrived and dispatched us both with ease.

Then I played Resident Evil 4. I was convinced I'd got to the end but it wasn't even the beginning of the end. It was perhaps the end of the beginning.
A good game though anyway. I like it.

Morning.... I have an hour teams call so it's time for....

.... the continuing saga of Eryk 'the idiot' Gingernuts.

So - our hero finds himself back at base, naked. His boat and all best weapons and armour lying by his corpse in a Draughr infested village on another island, and his spare kit floating somewhere in the ocean.

Time to do something smart? No. He takes the other option.

He crafts another raft, and not wanting to lose any more stuff sets sail unarmed and naked as a jaybird, to try and reach his spare kit in the ocean. Rafts are not good in open water so he hugs the coast and works his way towards the corpse marker.
Passing close by an area of swampland, he gets the feeling of not being alone, and checking behind shows a pack of 5 leeches in his wake and closing in fast. Not having encountered leeches before the only option is to try and outrun them.... surely he must be safe on the raft? Indeed he is. The raft however isn't, and the leeches start to gnaw chunks out of it, until it disintegrates and our hero is dumped into the roiling shit-pit. Another corpse marker added to the map, and Eryk is again spawned back at base naked. Oh well, at least didnt lose any more items, bet decides a better plan is needed.

A marathon crafting session. Tin and copper mined, bronze smelted, axe and nails crafted, deer slaughtered for pelts, greydwarves massacred for resin. Eventually Eryk has enough mats to craft another boat, and a portal.

Not wanting to get wiped out again, he takes only a bow and 100 fire arrows at base, and sets off for revenge!

A day and night later, he sneaks ashore a short way from the Draughr camp, and sets up a hasty shack and the portal.

At dawn, the Draughr tend to hide in their buildings, so the best tactic seemed to skirt the camp at range, firing arrows in to a building til the wall collapsed and then sniping the emerging Draughr one at a time. This took a while, and several times he needed to use the portal to teleport back to base to heal.

Eventually success! The elite Draughr took some whittling down, and the body-pile destroyed, which stopped further spawns.

Eryk was able to finally recover his best gear, and was able to set about making the newly won village his.

OK I played R-Type briefly, it has a cracking rave soundtrack and feels great to play. I was a big Nemesis fan back in the day, although I was terrible at it. I think that will hold true here too, I enjoy the game but am awful at it. It would be awesome to play high too.

They stole the food bin again, while I was out I asked Pref.Mam. to go get the bins, she declined due to the ludicrous reason that she had a "work meeting".




<edit>I suppose it is possible that the binmen just chucked them down and next door just picked up the nearest one.
