Morning.
This morning, after pulling an all nighter I got my "settled status" application in with a whole day to spare. It's my own fault for suffering from task reluctance. Main stumbling block was their meagre file size limit of 6 MB for uploading documents such as my 91 pages of bank statements over the last 5 years. I squashed it as much as was humanly possible, then chopped a bit off at the end. Somehow I cannot imagine that little Polish grannies were going to respond well to the whole thing. Anyway, it's now in the hands of the Home Office gods. After yesterday's sports balls they might feel magnanimous towards a poor German citizen of nowhere.
Rescued my bins at stupid o'clock from the kerbside before any of the neighbours were able to nick them, then had coffee and crumpets with marmalade for breakfast, just in case that Priti Terrible was already spying on me. I was planning to go to bed after that and have a snooze until lunch, but instead I found myself drawn into a Twitter argument with some of my best tinfoil hat customersseveral Covid denier conspiracy nuts, three of whom eventually blocked me. Result!
Sleep is for the weak.
Had lunch (chili chicken wrap with avocado) and still haven't done anything useful.
Only 3 transfers, huh? I've got a lot of dead wood in my squad. Expensive dead wood. Time to use one of my cards that I've been saving for this occasion.

I have a Cambridge CD player. I have an old Cambridge Audio amp – but it’s in the attic along with the cd player and speakers. Hopefully when we eventually get rid of some of the childs crap from the living room it will make a reappearance. Though a combined streamer/amp like the one I posted or a cheaper model is probably a better idea. I bought the CXN V2 streamer in a sale last year. I couldn’t really afford/justify either tbh. I also really like the Cyrus one cast. The first proper hifi I ever heard had a Cyrus one amp and I’ve always had a soft spot for them. |
