My Amiga is back in the study again. It has been a glorious week, but now normality returns.
In other news, my birthday present to myself has arrived: the Lego Saturn V rocket!

Your complaint has been rejected as it wasn't written in crayon on the back of an old envelope. signed: Home Office.

Not quite. Just tolerated. If I'd choose to live in a different country for 5 consecutive years or more I would lose the settled status and would have to apply again. They will also consider kicking me out if I commit a serious criminal offence. Sorry, MrTiddles , can't be of any help, but I guess you prefer working alone anyway. One interesting detail is that any child born to me in the UK while I have settled status will automatically be a British citizen. That is not going to go down well with EU parents whose country does not allow dual nationality (like the Netherlands) or, like e.g. Germany, will not allow dual nationality with a non-EU country. As long as that is the case I cannot take British citizenship. They may take our lives but they will never take our freedom of movement.

Oh, and I won't get any paper documentation that proves my immigration status. I will need to access the Home Office's website to get a share code as proof for employers, landlords or the NHS that I'm not an illegal alien.
If I need help accessing this there's a helpline. "Calls made to this number from within the UK may cost up to 10p a minute from landline telephones and between 3p and 40p a minute from mobile telephones depending on your provider."
With prices like these I hope that at least the telephone sex is worth it.

I haven't communicated with the Home Secretary to congratulate her on finally making a sensible decision. Mind you, I don't think* that she can be held responsible for some countries not allowing dual nationality, although I believe that the automatic ascription of British nationality to the child of an EU citizen with settled status is an abrogation of both the rights of the parent AND the child under both UK and EU law. This is exactly the kind of expensive time bomb which BoJo and Co have been throwing into our future. Another example of this is the NI protocol. *My body is full of morphine, which is not exactly an aid to clarity of thought. ** ** After all that morphine "...freedom of movement" is a principle I can get behind

Still sunny and stupidly hot.

Crank!
Back in March you kindly directed me to CDKeys so I could renew the kids Gamepass subscription going with a deal for 12 months gold which was £38.99 and it automatically converted it to 4 months game pass. I've looked and the 12 month gold on CDKeys is £39.99 - if I buy them this will it automatically convert to another 4 months game pass for me? It's still saves £4 as it's £10.99 pm I think paying monthly.

TuffersI *believe* that's the case yes. Shopto can also be cheaper than cdkeys sometimes. Do you need ultimate gamepass? The console only one is 7.99 p/m but not sure if you get online play included or not.

I got two badges from Chumbles ! Thank you, Chumbles! Does a " Pillar of the Community" badge mean I need to carry you all? I wanted to make my own badge. I was thinking along the lines of maybe an anti-St Patrick's Day badge that says " Don't kiss me, I'm Germanphobic". Dinner: butternut squash ravioli with mushrooms, onions and truffle pesto. Hopefully some games later, finally.

And sometimes, *spits*, roblox.

I'm full of ravioli and pinot noir and playing Animal Crossing whilst waiting for a phone call from relatives who have to put a small child to bed first.
Mellow, very mellow.

I was playing Wolfy II, just to get the final baddie. I've had to sack it off, Mr Booze told me to do so.
Mr Booze always knows the right thing to do.
