Hello all.
We have just returned from a very long walk along the riverside in very long grass. The aim was to get to Bodiam castle, and then hop on the steam train back to the holiday home.
Alas, we did not follow the Six Ps, and performance was indeed very piss poor.
That’s because we got half way down the trail, and discovered not only a 30ft deep field of stinging nettles blocking our way, but once I’d beaten a path through it, found that the path on the other side was private property.
And so we turned around, tails between our legs, and returned home on foot. Total journey time: three and a half hours.
The castle will not be reached today.
