Damnation. I have stuff to do, having been idle yesterday. Still, being under the duvet and keeping warm looks to have cleared the infection from my lungs. Now all that I need them to do is unlearn the cough reflex. Doing nothing and a fully stocked fridge, now not so fully stocked ... Better get doing ...

Hello there!
Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day out there today. Boy’s got his family birthday party today, which we were hoping to have in the garden, but the forecast does not bode well…
TVblog: Futurama (including the first tearing-at-the-heart episode, Luck of the Fryrish), and Community.
YouTubeblog: caught up with some of my subscriptions, primarily EV ones.
Yesterday’sDinnerblog: Chinese takeaway, because we couldn’t be bothered to cook. 4*

TV: Watched NCIS S1E5... still excellent Games: NP2 - Stabbed! My fuckwit of an ex-ally has just stuck the knife in, turning a certain win for me and 2nd for him into mutual destruction just to 'make it interesting'. Cunt. Now I have to find time and concentration enough to re-route 300 carriers... Tids, I may need your services

I feel a wee bit rough. Slightly overindulged in everything last night. Vimto chews, IPA and junk food. Woke at half six with a terrible drooth but got back to sleep. Hopefully my coffee will help.
Pishing down here.

So sad to see someone relapse again, he had been so clean for so long. Booze later, anyone want anything from Amy's winehouse?

Hullo.
I am back from my environment busting trip. At one point I floored the motor in second gear as I passed some hippies, just for kicks.
That's all I got.

Hong Kong wouldn't be a good place for you Sheep2My mother would have been 100 today... I loved the cross-grained old biddy. "You should have been a girl, I would have called you Chumbelina*." But I am glad she died when she did - Senile Dementia is a bitch of a way to go and after 8 years I was relieved to see her go. I've put a "pull the plug" clause into my LPA if I morph into a vegetable ( yeah yeah , I know, how will they tell the difference). *Name changed to protect the guilty

Glad to hear that you are beating down the chest infection, Chumbles. Last night the grandkids and their parents arrived at their holiday destination by the seaside between Hadrian's and the Antonine Wall. They had made an overnight pitstop at the other grandparents in Brum and then embarked on the journey north, only sustained by Peppa Pig and Cocomelon albums on a loop 🤪. I myself have just received 2 deliveries from Jeff as I unexpectantly found myself in need of a number of things outside the comfort of my own home, such as - 2 pairs of Marigolds and - a waterproof apron (Royal Worcester Wrendale design) so that I can finally do the washing up without a) knackering my hands, and b) splashing water all over the front of my top. - a selection of coffee pods for the local coffee machine After 3 days of drinking tea I'm fairly desperate. - a height adjustable laptop tray Finally I can sit back on the settee and write this drivel without balancing the laptop on top of my lap at an awkward angle. - a large Dreamies cat treats variety pack - a metal heavy duty kitty litter scooper with ergonomic handle Yes, I'm looking after a cat. Allegedly. On my first day I saw neither hide nor hair of this cat. She only comes out at night when all 4 kids have gone to bed, and even then she's a nervous wreck. Recently she's become progressively more curious about me, and I was told that the way to her heart is paved with cat treats. Hopefully we'll reach the stage where I make use of my first class behind-the-ears scratching skills. Where there's input, there's output, and the lack of a scooper is in my opinion a huge disadvantage in the day to day running of a kitty litter service. tl;dr: COFFEE I HAVE COFFEE

Speaking of rugrats, I am decidedly child hostile until I get to know them (once they have finished projectile puking and pooping). I have a murderous reaction to little fuckers who kick the back of my seat on a plane. It became progressively more violent after a 3 year period when I had a dozen long haul flights to the USA, 3 to the Indian subcontinent, and numerous short hauls to European countries and Israel... and the second most common horror was ... The third was the other half of the first one... in the middle of eating the bastard in front reclines their seat, so your drink goes all over your clothes - it's not always a child o And the list goes oooon... I grew to really really hate flying and I just refused to fly anywhere after 2008, as the piss poor circulation in my legs made an embolism (DVT) a strong possibility.
