Morning everyone!
Not so many games. Not recently watched any episodes of The Good Life, but I think we can all agree it is one of the best mid-70s sitcoms dealing with self-sufficiency and starring Felicity Kendal.

When I lived in Guildford, my housemates and I briskly walked the mile downhill... walking back was an adventure as one of us couldn't walk in a straight line after a pint. On the way home he'd meander along at the back burbling away to himself; when it went quiet one of us would be delegated to go back and fish him out of a hedge or someone's garden... |

Speaking of TikToks, thanks to Chumbles for the Irish immigration video from last night. Not only did it make me laugh, but my PM would have liked it a lot, too. Just for the record and Shenguin's spreadsheet, I'm not looking after four kids and a cat atm, just after the cat. The four kids are on holiday with their parents who will probably agree that they should be paid tens of thousands of pounds for looking after them. The cat already had a timid disposition when there weren't any kids to begin with and made its feelings known by staging dirty protests in the old house which quickly became far too small. Now in a bigger house she's calmed down a lot and perfected her invisibility act during the day. Last night I saw her downstairs for the first time and I was able to demonstrate my abilities as an expert cat smoocher. I have no doubt that this is the beginning of a beautiful summer friendship that will end abruptly the moment the kids walk (more likely run) back through the door. Last night it got rather late as I was joining my usual Sunday night game stream. My friend Andrew is currently playing (among other games) the freshly localised Great Ace Attorney Chronicles and wanted to show off some of the trial sections (because he'd been playing for a while already we jumped right into the middle of the game). Four and a half hours later we were still nowhere near. Admittedly the game is quite long winded. We agreed that we would continue not next Sunday (when it's time for more Trails in the Sky SC) but the next. Now, apart from ACNH taking up too much time as usual, I've just taken a break from Xenoblade Chronicles DE to start Skyward Sword. I really, really, really shouldn't be starting another game. But this is just so tempting. I was planning to play Ace Attorney anyway, but later. Now I just want it NOW. Am I a bad person? |

Last night I watched 'The Hobbit: An unexpected Journey' again. Chip the glasses, crack the plates! That's what Bilbo Baggins Hates!
Lunch:Hot dogs with tomato ketchup and French's American mustard. I even went to the trouble of frying an onion. Boodiful.

Hello, yesterday I went hunting for a deer, broke a wild horse in, went to a bar, insulted an improbably large bosomed lady, got in a fist fight, shot some bad guys after they killed a guy in the middle of town but for some reason the law came after me, and I downed some hair tonic so that I can grow the worlds most luxurious moustache.
I also played some Red Dead Redemption 2.

Great, now I know that putting sheep placenta on your face is actually a thing. Thanks a bunch Tids. SOD refers to Superoxide dismutase (a natural anti-oxidant enzyme), and sheep placenta seems to be rich in it. Sheep placenta and SOD milk. Presumably it's referred to as SOD milk to make it sound slightly less disgusting and more wholesome.

That is what anti-ageing creams are made of. They use pig and cow placenta as well. I think some upmarket creams may use human placenta. They certainly used to.

It was a few years ago, but many of the details were seared into my mind by repetition.

Yesterday, I also started (and almost finished) making a shelf out of scaffold board. Got it all sanded down and got one coat of stain on, second coat went on at lunchtime, and should be able to put it up tonight. Ready for all out jars of sheep placenta and sods.
