Dr Selena Wisnom is the guest. I'm following a line of thought as to how the Babylonian Exile shaped Judaism in reference to demons etc and how that predicated in later Christian ideology. I do indeed know her. Very interesting topic as well.

Morning all. Warm out, might head down the beach again at lunch.
I have also not seen The Wire. I have watched Community, though, where Michael K. Williams plays a biology professor in a few episodes.
TVblog: Futurama, Community, the repeat of the Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off featuring Harry Hill.
Amigablog: brand new Sweet Content in the works. Also had some wonderful community spirit yesterday in the Commodore Amiga FaceAche group.

Morning.
Thunder, lightning and rain here. The lightning was so close I could hear it 'fizzing' as it came down. Marvellous.
No murders.

What did you decide to do in the end about the book deal?
Decided against it, I don't have the time or patience tbh. I would only consider it fully on my terms in relation to the subject. From what I could glean it's a common tactic in the smaller publishing houses, find someone with a following and ask if they'll write a book. It's a very niche and yet quite competitive field. Then some generalist historian comes around (or someone not even a historian) who is famous and blows you out of the water. Pessimistic I know but I'd have to forgo my podcast and the other things I do.
Sounds like a sensible decision. Maybe you should do an updated version of the Greek myths, only 15 or so of those have been published in the last couple of years.

Loads of fog horns on the lower Clyde this morning. Not heard that in ages. Hopefully bit doesn't mean near collisions.

Btw, why did they close comments on Keef's & Keza's 2010s list at 998 posts? Were they so sick of people asking what happened to Skyrim that they narrowly missed the 1,000 comments milestone?

[/quote] My experience on social media etc is largely this. I see topics covered in all formats (books, podcasts etc) which have been covered to the nth degree. One of the book title options was on women in the early empire. Now that's potentially very interesting but it was another 'the women behind the emperors' request. Reminds me of the scene in Partridge about potential TV ideas "another way of looking at it is people like them, let's make more of them". Part of what I do, and what I'm most proud of, is that I tend to avoid these areas. Thoufh at some point someone will cover them in less depth and get the plaudits.

Good day to you.
Been away for a while on holiday in Dorset. Bit of beach action (I hate the beach as I'm a misery guts)
Then to Legoland on Monday, for the boy. Very hot and very expensive. Glad we brought along a massive array of home made sarnies and sausage rolls! I shall now be creating a lego masterpiece for the next 3 days. Cancel my appointments and no calls

More info needed. Is that the single player version? Or Surviving Mars Duo? Dunno. Just added it to my steam library where I'll never play it, on the SteamDeck I'll never own. Oh, is that the normal SteamDeck or the Double SteamDecker?

morning boxlings, Films: Zack S's Justice League, brilliant, 4* (It's long) Games: more BFBC2, started well but got absolutely slaughtered game after game, I got pissed off and rage quit, I've got a feeling that the Americans are using a time zone difference to their advantage so they can never lose, (probable a cheat code) Life: AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH! to quote a fellow/fellowess boxer. that's all, the coffee pot calls.

Is summer ending tonight then? What would happen when swimming in the sea and lightening strikes? Bit of a strange question, but this tends to happen towards the end of pregnancy and so if this occurs in this situation it's nothing to be alarmed about, in fact light exercise such as swimming is encouraged.
