Today I remember those who have died in conflicts. I'm not going to make a thing of it, but in my heart I will remember and reflect on those who lost their lives; those who came home broken or not at all. It is, after all Remembrance Day. We are human, and through memory we hope to learn, however much events show that our leaders haven't*. Death has no 'sides'... *You know that there's a megarant about here, but for a while not now. |

Morning! It's too early to get up. I'm going back to bed. Me too! edit: and of course I didn't go back to sleep. I got up, usual 45m routine (taking tablets*, preparing tablets into the timed boxes) ablutions, strip bed and get washing on... I dread this. I have a double duvet - I'm a big lump - and, as an uncoordinated, useless git, if there's a way to screw up I'll find it. I am now on a freshly made bed with my legs aching waiting for the washing machine to finish... *14 tablets, 5ml morphine .../edit |

We were due to have friends over for Sunday lunch (roast lamb), but he had his booster yesterday and is feeling lousy. So the mother-out*-law is coming over for lunch instead.

TVblog: none
Boardgameblog: went over a mate’s flat and played Unlock!, an escape-room-board-game. Really got the ol’ noggin’ working.
I reckon a contributed very well out of the trio of players. I also made some quite frankly hideous decisions that lost us time…
*cos my partner and I aren’t married, see?! HA HA HA HA HA!!!

Sleep is the best, I got up at 11! And I only because I need to get my freak, erm, I mean beef shin stew on.
Games, Forza. It flipping ace. I won 3 races in my Cosworth. Then spent a while trying to achieve a MASSIVE jump at an airfield in my Maclaren. Despite getting over 500m I only got 2 stars (out of 3). Then bombed about collecting XP signs, one of which was on top of a small building with no way to get to it.

Chicken pie & mushy peas for dinner last night.
That was after I had a large bottle of milk and some other groceries delivered by Jeff Express (though by small Japanese car and not by penis rocket). I don't wish to cancel my milkman but I wish Milk & More stopped advertising their mobile phone app on YouTube and concentrated on recruiting more staff.
Jeff's minion turned out to be a young lady who was so elegantly dressed that I really wished I'd made more effort when I opened the door. She had been phoning me before to tell me that she was outside when I could see on the map that she was in a completely different part of the city. Fortunately she came to the conclusion that she was in the wrong place herself and found me eventually. It's not the first time this has happened, so I question the quality of the navigation devices Jeff provides to his minions and/or their ability to use Google Maps.
Ganes: Animal Crossing and I don't know how I was coping before I had the new shed that allows access to your storage space outside your home. I also found Brewster, so today my museum will be closed for refurbishment.

Didn't really get a proper run at Forza last night. I suggested to the PM she watch the Will Ferrell/Paul Rudd thing and I'd play a game as I hadn't been bothered by it. But she didn't take the hint and suggested we watch something else we both were interested in.
Ive also just realised I may need to do some work tonight as I've a meeting tomorrow I thought was next week. So harrumph to that. I'm in the office on Mon so can't just blame faulty VPN for not going.
Making leek & potato soup.
The leek was WMD levels of eye watering.
Just heard Damon Albarn on the radio talking about his new album. Fair play for not knocking out Blur albums till he's 104 - but he's a self important sounding fucker. That is all.

This ruddy oven… most recipes need a substantial addition of time (20-30 mins for roasts). We’ve had it over ten years, so I imagine the seals* aren’t great anymore. Nor is the fan-circulation. Fingers crossed we’ll be getting a new kitchen early next year, and by extension, a new oven… *not Shenguin, though I get the impression he isn’t great either. |
