Humbug.
Work is very busy. Wife is off now until new year, and kids have finished school.
As it's the run up to Christmas there seems to be an expectation that everyone has to be stressed and irritable at all times, as apparently there is 'so much still to do'.
I'm not really sure how much more prepared we can be for spending two days sat at home doing fuck all*
Once again; humbug
*apart from cooking the Christmas dinner, which I don't get involved with but I appreciate is time consuming and stressful

So guess at pre-Christmas lockdown rules*, probably arriving tomorrow. 2 families, (or bubbles), at most to meet up. Boozers and diners to freeze outside. Anything else? As long as I can get to the pub tomorrow lunchtime I'll be happy. *doesn't apply to Government. Any fuhl 'no' booster take 14 day. It's a bit dumb to get homicrom for Yule... 25% protection; it be like sleeping with a hooker hoping that crossing fingers is vondom. First dibs on your stuff!

I don't think they will dare bringing anything in until boxing day. Regardless of the science, they would be too much uproar, particularly among Tory MPs.

Interestingly I was reading about that and there is some evidence that the booster kicks in faster than the earlier vaccines. Not as quickly as three days obvs. <edit>also I have to go to town to pick up the rest of the food, I walk down, have always worn a mask even after freedom day, the pub I go to I am quite often the only person in the area I sit and the bar staff often do table service while wearing a mask, not bullet proof but reasonable precautions in my eyes.

Javid wandering around TV studies, first on Saturday saying that they have made no decision about pre-Christmas then yesterday saying they "could" be introduced before Christmas. Typical way this Gov works, trail stuff so it lands slightly softer, we'll see anyway.

They won't do anything before Christmas, as they are currently too bust planning their Christmas and New year's eve parties. I'm predicting a 3 week lockdown being announced next Monday

I'm listening to Gary Barlow's 'The Dream of Christmas'.
He only seems to appear around Christmas these days. It's almost as if he is embodying the spirit of Christmas.
I feel ok with that.

Morning
Workman arrived today to plaster our new loft. Unlike Terry Dankmeister General we've gone for a plasterer rather than a builder.
No games yesterday.
Makeitupasyougoalong-vid19 : is anyone going to actually listen to whatever 'rules' are now likely to be set out (for us, not them), specifically in terms of spending time with family/friends? We might be in a minority, but they can go fuck themselves. My fully triple 5g compatible parents (late 70s)and the PM folks (same) are adamant they are still coming round (over Xmas or anytime after) and we'll be going to theirs, so they can see the grandkids etc and will ignore anything that the lying buffoon and his cocaine-partying-laughing at us-inbred clowns decide is best for us. In their words, they've (mine and pm parents) all said basically the same thing, ie, "we've all had our jabs now, enough of this". Sure we can't be the only family feeling like this? Pre vaccines, fair enough, but Boris can suck my balls, I don't believe a single word that leaves his chinless racist trap.
Tldr, who wants first dibs on mine and all the familys cool stuff when we're all dead in January?

It sounds like they'll let us have Xmas and then announce restrictions. That will create a go/not go debate in our house about whether or not to travel to the deep south of the north of Ingerlund to visit the outlaws. I for one cannot wait to enjoy that festive discussion.

Hello,
I’ve been boosted for a week and am giving off full 5G signal and surround sound. PARP!
Some of you are already aware, due to being filthy Discord users, but wanted to let you all know, that my preferred mammal is currently pregnant. There will be a Scubar junior in approx 7 months. We had a scan last Friday due to some worries (not going into it again, but some of you are already aware) and everything’s fine, little heartbeat going like the clappers, so is no doubt going to be just as anxious as it’s parents.
PM has been hit hard by it, quite sick and very tired, which has left me lots of time for:
Games - AC Valhalla, clearing up lots of side quests and treasure hunting, but am also currently exploring the wilds of Lincoln. Bolingbroke castle was lovely though, and am sure will be revisiting it. Also some Stardew Valley, which is just as much of a a timesink as it always was. TV - Succession. Onto Series 3, which is fantastic, they’re still all awful people. Witcher, you can tell the budget has been upped. Still not entirely sure what’s going on, it seems to have departed from the books quite massively. Wheel of Time - Rands coat looks very warm. I could do with one of those.
As you were.

I will be very happy to spend Christmas in London again this year. Although last year, walking around Hyde Park, and not seeing people stopping and bowing and wishing each other the best of the season came close to breaking my heart.

First dibs on your stuff! (plausible rationalisations)... but reasonable precautions in my eyes. So I guess I shouldn't count on getting your stuff, then?

Sounds bad booster effects, were they on the leaflet you get? Nausea and vomiting is listed (up to 1 in 10 cases). I guess she just got unlucky.

Sorry that sounded a bit rude, I just wrote scubarb and then added custard through association with rhubarb and custard, not a reference to scubar’s custard and it’s role in the pregnancy.
