Hello.
Games: Wordle.
Telly: Silent Sea. It is tremendouse. Also completed Succession s3 - it is good, I quite like it. Nothing much happens and it doesn't make a lot of sense, much like my face.
Ottm: I have got my first NAS, which was purchased on the basis of reviewers saying it was the most basic/idiot proof piece of equipment imagineable. Needless to say, it's taken me about 8 hours to work out how to upload music to it, and another 2 to work out how to listen to it. I don't know how the IT lads cope with this stuff, it's like a foreign language. 4 stars.

The first time I bought an external drive it popped up automatically.
The next one didn't. I spent over an hour trying to get it to appear.
I still can't get my Synology NAS to let me access both drives on it via one folder
It absolutely insists they can never be shown anywhere as aggregated.
I can do it via Twonky or JRiver, but if the pc is ever turned off they take hours to rebuild the index

He is a cowardly shit but I thought the family member was the one sniveling. So from 14 days to 5 if you test yourself, I'm guessing they think no one will lie or everyone can test themselves properly? No games etc. |

Sheep2 Are they both Windows/Samba shares? Can you edit the samba conf file directly on the Nas? path=/folder1, /folder2 Might work if that's the case. But I could be talking total pish.

The Synology disk manager is very protective about controlling things. Very protective. For a while it didn't want to let me access my own drives.
I could make them into one disk.
I didn't do that because I think it might rewrite both disks. I bought them separately and had 8TB on by the time I got the second one. It's now about 16TB. I am reluctant to risk overwriting the data even though I have a copy of it.
It takes about a week to copy everything from one disk to another
I have two empty bays. When I fill them I will try to buy both disks at once and format them as one drive while they are data free. Then I can copy the data - much faster and hopefully end up with 2 20TB drives.

The score of errr champions 9/15, talked myself out of three, but got a couple of wild guesses right Spent the day interleaving chores with phone calls / chores and phone calls / phone calls and AoW3. The calls mainly involved being held in queues, before being put on hold, then told to ring someone else. Having been given the number, I find that it's wrong (the local trust has 'harmonized' their phone systems so none of the numbers are the same). Some guys are worving from home and tell me to ring them back if there is no joy - "should I use the number you have rung me on?" "Yes." And of course there isn't - in one case I can hear them, but they can't hear me, in the other he's fucked off back to Pakistan before the 'harmonization' and the forwarded number is the old one. I ring back the original referrer and he rang from home VIA THE HARMONIZED SYSTEM... which means I get the S Bucks PCT automated, HARMONIZED switchboard ... I get stuck back in the queue and do some shouting and screaming while I wait ... ... 46m later I am put through to the original guy. "My office hours are Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. Please call again on Monday ..."  And 40m ago I had an automated call reminding me of the appointment NEXT TUESDAY I cancelled in October, which appears not to have been cancelled and which I have spent a lot of time bouncing around their system, the walls etc, trying to cancel it AGAIN so that someone else can use that slot. I've left messages to this effect. Fuck them...
