Destry broke the box? Morning! Work. Lovely. Left Mrs Crank and the child in bed on iPads waiving me away*. Jehovah's Witnesses at the station continuing their old man/young attractive women combo.
Tv. More of Salamander.
More 2x$ special crate grinding last night in GTA. What to spend the loot on.
Looking forward to the free racing game on psn tomorrow. Looks fun.
*Barely noting my departure.

Morning all! A week off for me, though at home looking after the boy.
Watched half of Valerian last night. Quite enjoyable I thought! Will finish it tonight.

I watched a 4k trailer for that on a £5k telly in John Lewis. Made me weep as I'll never own such a fabulous device. I had seen the trailer in the cinema about a week earlier and it looked better on the telly.

Morning all,
This weekend I watched Justice League, played X-Com and ran as Cher-Cules in a charity drag queen race. Not a drag queen, had never run in heels or worn them. Fortunately a lot of whisky ensured I finished 3rd in my heat which wasn't enough to qualify for the final but did save face.
4 stars.

It’s not the heels that slow you down, it’s the goddamn bustle.
Ass Baguettes. Relaxing mooch round Paris looting chests and stabbin’ bad dudes up. No fucking boats. Good game, limited exposition, plenty hitting things with morningstars.
Friday night saw The Elvis Dead. Precisely what it says on the flyer, nothing more, nothing less. Thank you very much.

cobbler - which Ass Creed is this? Not played any for a while and several seem to have sprung up in the meantime.

The long weekend was nice. I was able to watch/listen to cricket until late, play something like 15 hours of Dark Souls, go to the football and also see people. I would not like it every weekend.

My left knee really hurts after running yesterday. This is the reality of exercising in your late thirties, basically it's not worth it.
I played a game of Fortnite, killed some fancy pants player in Tilted but got gunned down on top of a hill near the final circle. Looks like they are removing the games played and minutes played from the stats to make rubbish players like me feel better.

Nose very much to the grindstone now though. I need to get in a full day's browsing and work by lunchtime. Potentially tricky.
On the plus side I am going with 4,811 of my closest friends to see Blues lose disappointingly at Bolton tonight. We are resting on the relegation line rather than clinging to it at the moment so it is not necessarily disastrous. However I a far from convinced we have yet committed to staying up All options are very much open. Except the unexpected dive from near the play offs to relegation. We can't plausibly do that.

If you wait a few years your body will hurt before exercise, not just after it.

Unity. Revolutionary Paris.
It was supposedly buggy as hell at release, but it’s stable now and you can’t go wrong for a tenner.
I have not yet seen an in-game baguette, by the way, so full marks for historical diligence. They do have those orange tabac signs, mind you.

Point being that the activity might not be the root cause. I'd get it checked out but you probably know that.

cobblers - that's good to know. Seeing plenty Ass Creed games for £10/£15, when I check the reviews out it often has marks down due to the bugs which I assume should have been patched.
The big one in Egypt looks interesting but I wonder if they've masked a lot of problems with the size of the game and the scenery (which is very good from what I've read).

Ass Creed Egypt is pretty good, the combat is now more like Dark Souls and its very very big and open. Plus there are gangs of hippos and crocodailers that will wreck you.

I've spent the morning worrying about whether waiving away people is a blog thing, and waivering about whether or not I should mention it.
In other news, I'm also struggling with the G's article about cancer. Cancer can be a very emotive issue, and I have three friends who have lost relatives in the last few months to cancer, and I'm aware that even mentioning cancer on a forum like this runs the risk of upsetting people. Cancer is common enough so that it's likely even in a small group someone will be struggling emotionally (or even physically) with cancer at any one time. On the other hand, the article is about Andrew Lansley's cancer of the Karma gland, hence my emotional struggle; the bile-riven cruelty of my laughter was surely not how a nice caring human being like me should react.

I like Ass Creed: Death On The Nile, I don’t think I’m anywhere close to finishing though. Or I’m two missions away.

Why is the NHS performing occult blood tests?

I don't know which claim is least plausible.
3 friends Emotional struggle caring human being (frankly I'm not sure this even counts as an alternative fact)
It is not April Fool's Day.

Why is the NHS performing occult blood tests? Witch doctors are doing that? It looks for blood not otherwise apparent, usually in stools.

Yes, I read the article, read your comment, made a poor joke about witch-doctors, and then explained what the tests are.

Morning All!
Back in work after a week (and a bit) off and I'm already praying for 16:55.
Spent my time off doing as little as possible. Meaning I now have 4 max level characters on WoW. Time well spent.
I also finished up .hack GU vol 1 to 100%, which I was pretty pleased with. On to vol. 2, if I can just tear myself away from WoW ...
TV wise I took the time to finish up Sneaky Pete s2, which was still ok, not as good as the first series but it had its moments. Finally started Gotham s3 too, but realised that I'd forgotten a lot of what's happened so far, thank god for Wikipedia.

played some X-com Enemy within over the weekend. The Second Wave DLC option is quite good fun, started up a new game. Got a decent squad, into May and have managed to research light plasma rifles (don't build them, just stun the enemy). Still got a fair amount to research but the Second Wave option adds a lot more playability.
It's truly infuriating when you move that square too far, it's not close to DS levels of punishing stupidity but close.
