Bollocks. My treatment tomorrow has been postponed until Saturday - they can't help it, but this impacts planning for tests / preparation for potential surgery for the arterial circulation down the left side of my body. Although treatment itself is painful, deferring it also increases the chance of the bacteria that inhabit wounds getting into my body and consequently septic shock, as well as considerable additional pain.
So, if I'm even more rancorous and ranting over the next few days, that's why.

And I have another wonderful disaster. Chumbles' mansion has two bathrooms. A normal one upstairs in the standard layout and a shower room with a sink and loo installed in what was the dining room. I had this built when I was discharged from hospital in 2014... The loo has a Saniflo macerator / pump which forces the crud up to the top of the house and across to the soil pipe...
The pump broke a couple of hours ago - thank heavens that I have a very practical and kind neighbour who stopped the malfunctioning pump and cleared up the mostly clean water... (It would have been both difficult and dangerous with bandaged legs and feet for me to do this.) I've called the emergency call out number, but it looks like it will be tomorrow before he will reply. It's going to be a shitty night... I'm pooped!

Good Evening. This morning, I was having a fag, when I noticed a tradesman knocking on one of my elderly neighbour's door. Tradesman: Are you Tootsie in flat X? I've come to install this for you. Doddery Neighbour: OK, come in. At this point Tids flew into action, wearing just slippers and a heavily stained top. Tids: Are you looking for Tootsie? Tradesman: Yes, in flat X. Tids: Tootsie lives in flat Y and clearly doesn't have a bloke's name. Unlike doddery old man. Tradesman: *checks paperwork* Oh yeh, you're right. In the end we sorted it out like gentlemen. |
