Yesterday's fourth Quordle was 'Junto', say it's not true brother. It was Junto. It was possible to get from the plausible letter combinations remaining, and because Quordle won't let you guess a letter combination that isn't on its word list. One could choose to feel short-changed and cross about Quordle having such an arcane word, or one could choose to be happy to learn a new (or, rather, old) word. Personally, I chose the former. |

Morning.
I haven't had enough sleep because I needed to vacate the guest room at 6:30 am because the grandkids' father is worving from home today and needs what he calls his office. Over the last days I have been kicked, pummelled, sneezed at and beaten comprehensively at board games by my grandchildren.
My back hurts because I have been lifting children of all sizes and weights onto or off playground equipment. I am half deaf not only because I had to endure high-pitched screams right into my ear but also because I have been sitting right in front of a sound system used by a rum character by the name of "Polly the Pirate". Disappointingly, this turned out not to be a parrot but a children's "entertainer" who was animating toddlers to jump around to the tune of Baby Shark.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

In other words, I had a lovely time with my grandchildren and I can't wait to get home.

When we lived in the flat, I used to walk the pram round Pollokshields and see all these houses with paved fronts of their houses instead of gardens (extended Asian families needing car parking space) and think why would you do that? Now I know.
Hello. Last night we watched West Side Story. I also played a bit of The Division 2 with Randoms on Legendary. Lads with big builds doing lots of damage.

It's not Sunday, it's Choresday... I was so knackered after yesterday's delayed treatment I actually slept 5h, on and off, last night - I listened to a very ordinary audiobook, but B V Larson's Dust World is fine to doze to... the series starts with Steel World and they're based on a ridiculous premise. I won't be getting any more in the series after this. There is a huge amount of repeated explanation (it assumes the reader has no short-term memory - an American teenage male), the 'hero' is a disobedient, stupid, sex-mad, lucky idiot who gets laid frequently (basically written for an American teenage male) and the interest lies in the worlds and the way that the situation develops. But you have to go through a lot of the wish-fulfilment stuff to get to the interesting stuff. TV: Castle, some SWTOR LPs, music videos Games: Diplomacy, NP2, Age of Wonders 3... Enough prevarication, back to chores |

I can do the weeds for Crank, he can clean my bathroom as it very much looks like the cat had a dirty protest in there last night. There is one 'brown fish', and I must say I'm rather impressed by this, stuck to the inside of the bathroom door at 'standing cat botty height'.
