I'm not a fan of this map, and 12h phases put me at a severe disadvantage on treatment days, but I will support you! For those that don't know the map, here it is ...  There are some additional wrinkles (more information at the Variant Bank) 1. Cairo, Hamburg and Istanbul behave as Kiel and Constantinople did in the original game: they have no coasts but fleets can pass through them to bodies of water of both sides. 2. There are no home SCs. In the Adjustments Phase, a unit may be built at any owned and open SC. 3. There is another canal linking Rostov and Volga, thus permitting access to the Caspian Sea to ships. Rostov is situated along the Don River which empties into the Black Sea, while the Volga empties into the Caspian Sea. In the real world there is a canal at Volgograd linking the two rivers, somewhere in the southern Volga region on the map. This is the only way to get ships into and out of the Caspian Sea. |

I should maybe have gone for 18 hours. I just got so restless in that other game, and this map is a bit bigger. It might take a bit take longer. Why do I like it? I Cannot say. The modern world? Might be good to work through current war in Europe anxieties. |

I played Fortnite last night. We won our first two games. It felt pretty good. Then our fourth companion joined and we lost, but I don't blame him.
My companions are a bit reckless. On a couple of occasions they rushed in and got gunned down, leaving them disembodied and watching me, running as fast as I could in the opposite direction. My instinct for self-preservation had kicked in. On the second occasion I went back and picked up their reboot cards. I was on the verge of pulling it back in a heroic way, but got gunned down in the process.
You had to be there.
At some point there was a colossal ruckus outside. It sounded like something smashed. I went out in the back garden afterwards and could see nothing, but this morning there are some clumps of soil outside the back door, as if a plant pot had smashed. Yet there is no smashed plant pot.
Hmmm...

Last night I watched an old episode of The Office. The one where Brent comes back from taking the 'Swindon lot' to the pub at lunchtime and on his return Neil is playing French cricket with the troops. 'Oooh just wanna be popular'. Also watched an old Royle Family.
No games.
OTTM, Mr Tiddles - one of my first jobs was about six months at the old Midland Bank if you still need someone with a connection to HSBC that you want to murderise.

The second game he died early and I was able to win it.
