My new PC case has arrived, cue lots of "Why do you need another one" from PM. "Why do you have 42 pairs of shoes?" (yes dear reader, I counted them) was my response. I will start taking the old PC apart next week and put it in the new case, update BIOS and perhaps start looking for a cheap new CPU to put it. Level 18 now too. That’ll give you something to do when you’re sleeping on the sofa |

Books: Just finished The Iron Hand of Mars, by Lindsey Davies, the fourth in the Falco series - enjoyable, although Falco can be a bit dense from time to time which is very annoying. It's quite an interesting tour around the German / Gaulish areas of the Roman Empire... scamander - have you read these? Unfortunately I once missed the opportunity to meet her. I would have liked to ask her how much she's been influenced by my favourite childhood books, the Caius novels by Henry Winterfeld. (I'm learning from Wikipedia that the 3rd book hasn't been translated into English. If there's a publisher reading this, I'm happy to work on a translation.) |
