I adore Poets of the Fall and this song gets to me in a way that nothing else does. This was my YouTube comment nearly a year ago. "I have listened to this song and watched this video dozens of times - on my own. I'm 70 and I cannot watch this without weeping; I suffer intense pain pretty much daily, but that doesn't touch me anywhere near as much as this does. Simply beautiful and so poignant." Marko Saaresto is a poet who writes songs...

One for Felice Landry as well as Ozymandias Kane and me; and the drummer on the left is Pau from The Warning (17y at the time of this recording)...

And one for MrTiddles; a record that brings back a memory of a pretty, leather-clad biker chick on a bright sunny day trying to persuade me to miss the last train to London from Blackpool - I still regret not having let her succeed, although fuck knows what she saw in me!

Finally here's one I don't understand, but really like - perhaps tenthenemy can tell us the gist and where that castle is Schloss Neuschwanstein, one of Ludwig II's follies...

Finally here's one I don't understand, but really like - perhaps tenthenemy can tell us the gist and where that castle is Schloss Neuschwanstein, one of Ludwig II's follies... No problem! I made it easy for myself (and for you) and found the side-by-side lyrics & English translation: lyricstranslate.com/en/das-herz-eines-drachen-heart-dragon.htmlThe castle is legit and not one of Ludwig's follies (Neuschwanstein is easily recognisable as the Disney castle). It's Rabenstein (Ravenstone, very Harry Potter-esque name) Castle in Upper Franconia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabenstein_Castle_(Upper_Franconia)But there is a Wittelsbach connection in that the castle was renovated for a visit by Ludwig I, grandfather of Ludwig II. Seriously, identifying that castle was quite a challenge because there are hundreds of the wretched things in Germany and they all look similar. But then I cheated by scrolling down the YouTube comments for the video where somebody helpfully answered the question. Which goes to show that Felice isn't always right when it comes to reading (or rather not reading) YouTube comments.

Simply, gently beautiful... I haven't a clue why she isn't a mega-star.

I woke up with this song in my head, no idea why. The intro is sublime, a masterclass.
