What’s the best terrible, terrible music that everyone is listening to right now? I need to soundtrack a proper not-giving-a-shit anymore Thursday and I’m a bit stuck after “Hail To The King” by Almanac, which is an absolutely fantastic bit of utterly ludicrous power-metal nonsense.

I've gone badly wrong, as I'm currently listening to a post-Staley Alice in Chains album. I don't really know what to make of it to be honest. It's ok I guess. I discovered a band called Bugg the other week. They're rather good, try 'em!
I'm currently listening to an album called Burn The Earth! Leave it Behind! by a band called Wingnut Dishwashers Union. Not a joke, that's their actual name.

In other news, the BA website is a fucking shocker. Flight times and prices are pretty good, mind you, so it’s churlish to grumble. It looks and behaves like it’s not been updated since about 2003. Way to promote the national image, guys.

That inadvertently implies that there might be some type of metal that isn’t nerdy. Obviously this is impossible.
Metal is incredibly nerdy, all of it, it’s just a question of degree and if it’s goblins and wizards nerdiness or “7 string-drop-d-tuning modal djent with a classic tritone breakdown in the middle 8” nerdy. I prefer the former.

We're in Carnforth near Lancaster till Sunday. Weather to be mixed but hey ho. In a very nice lodge on a lake. Mrs Cranks mum paid so even better. Possibly watch the latest Billions or Silicon valley in a bit. I'm quite sleepy and tbh have a cheek as I slept quite a lot in the car.
