Whatever my prejudices may be, this 8 episode series cost nearly half a billion dollars to make. Half of that is reckoned to be the IP rights - Christopher has done very well out of the old buffer's writings! I will try and put to one side my feelings that Galadriel can't be anyone else other than La Blanchett and see it, like Jackson's trilogy, with fresh eyes. |

Playing some Rome Remastered whilst I mull over whether to pick up a citybuilder on steam or something for the PS4. As much as I love it the 'distance from capital' mechanic really impacts the game, particularly when it doesn't seem to affect the AI. Bleed Seleucids hold half the map with no issues, I have Cyprus and thus begins the civil revolt cycle.

It's fucked and probably going to be easier starting again...

Ouch If you are useful and expensive to get rid of most likely you'll be ok. If they want to make savings then getting rid f those with the least redundancy entitlement is very common. It is uncomfortable though. I've been at companies where they 'rightsized' the workforce. It is very unsettling even if you aren't one of those selected. |

Morning. I have been summoned in person for a meeting in a couple of weeks with HR. I am sure they just want to tell me how great I am.
I was just about to buy a new GPU and monitor too, but I have now paused that.

Morning
I gone and done a game last night and now my brain is broken. I don't know what's real anymore.
The game was Death Stranding - The Directors cut. Developed by some weirdo called Hideo Kojima. You mark my words, this crazy fool will amount to nothing.
I only played a few hours and I was gripped. I've mostly just been watching a horror film about a baby in a jar, and also listening to the soundtrack. But I did play at being an Amazon delivery guy for a bit which was fun. Also, I don't recall taking any LSD, but I must have I guess.
Brilliant, so far. 4*

If you are useful and expensive to get rid of most likely you'll be ok. 25yrs service. But as previously discussed that's only 20yrs really. I'm hopeful that if they move the schools libraries over to us as a saving then I'll be doing a lot of the work for that to happen. Crank throwing the school librarians under the bus. I don't know them tbf. Or they could bag them AND me and give some of my salary to the LMS provider to do the work instead as they'll be doing a data migration anyway. I'm seeing either branch closures as well or putting libraries into a trust - which is what loads of authorities have done. Good luck Babyfark. |

Afternoon all!
Struggling to think what to do with the boy today, I came up with the idea of going for a bike ride on the undercliff… but with me on a bike this time*.
I managed to squeeze both my and his bikes into the back of the ID.3 (note: next time, quick release front wheel), with both backseats down. He loved riding up front.
It’s relatively flat on the undercliff, so we both easily rode quite the distance. Though did have a quick break down the beach, with the boy chucking huge pebbles into the sea.
TVblog: Seinfeld. I then finished Sharpe’s Siege.
*he’s now too fast to run after, and he has more stamina than I.
