Roast chicken, wedges, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, cabbage, gravy.
It's what she'd have wanted. Or it's what I wanted. One or the other.
More Miles Morales later and probably the latest episode of Bad Sisters.

Afternoon all, The Rome Remastered mod Imperium Surrectum has had a massive update. So there's that. In other news I did have a chortle about how Ukraine has been using horny Russians to calibrate their strikes. Turns out Johnny Moscow has been lulled into an online dating app involving Ukranian women. Download, install and chat away whilst the app passes on your co-ordinates. I’m thoroughly enjoying the ol’ “we’re going for Kherson” then BAM Izium switcheroo. Heck of a predicament Putin’s boys are in.

Lunch: Grilled swan marinaded in the tears of the poor, served on a priceless gold salver by a pure bred, porcelain skinned Anglo saxon maid. And chips. (Followed by Oxtail soup! Thank you, Tesco Delivery! At least 80% as good as I remember. Can still taste it when I burp, it's the lunch that keeps on giving. A lunch fit for a grieving nation. Four Crowns.)

Dear god I hurt. The carving up of my feet without any pain relief for an hour, then having to wait with the my plates in clingfilm, followed by a complete noob having to be talked through dealing with a complex dressing for 2h is a glimpse of hell. I doubt that I will be in for the rest of the day. In the interregnum, I found that crankcaller's mate was once a producer!

Folk have been whining about rain for a few days, but it finally seems to have arrived at the Stockport Riviera. Fuck me it's moist out there, there's an actual frog on my lawn, never seen that before

I normally don't like sharing footage of this stupid war but I'm making an exception for this:

Brief High protein yoghurt review - bollocks / not brief
Arla Skyr Nordic Sour Cherry 150G - £1.00 - 14.3g protein
High protein
Fat free
Reduced sugar
I just love fruit yoghurts. To maintain a balance in my daily diet, best brands, providing me with necessary nutrients which are a healthy and required at my age, considering my medical conditions. Also another benefit is it prevents acidity issues. All flavours pleasant, but this and strawberry nicest.
Lindahls Kvarg Stracciatella Pot 150G - £1.10 - 15g
Contains Sweeteners: Sweeteners (Aspartame, Acesulfame K), Warnings: Contains a source of phenylalanine. More mucked about with; although produced in Sweden it's a Nestle product
High protein
V small amount of fat Reduced sugar
A nice yoghurt overall. It does not taste much of stracciatella or have a chocolate taste, but it is still a good yoghurt. It just tastes like your standard yoghurt, but with half the amount of sugar you find packed into the average yoghurt. I think they might use protein powder or something powdery in the mix, because it has an almost 'dry', firm feel to it, even though it's a wet product. Still, I enjoyed the taste and will be buying it again, as it is a nice lower sugar yoghurt that is thick and creamy in texture. As such, it is a very filling yoghurt, but personally only the Stracciatella for me.
If you are prone to hyperactivity then Aspartame may be a cause.

The child is watching a BTS concert on Disney+. I don't mind some of their music that has been forced upon me. This concert is pretty lame though tbh.
Wee shot of Miles Morales earlier. More shortly when the youngling goes to bed.

Amphibian update:
Followed a blood curdling scream to the kitchen earlier, to find the youngest spawn sobbing over the partially disembowelled twitching remains of a seriously fucked, but clearly still alive, frog. The whole scene was being watched over by our prick of an alley cat Vader, coolly cleaning slimy viscera from his smug maw. I'd imagine it was the same one I saw on my lawn before, but they all look the same to me (am I allowed to say that?)
My wife took daughter to bed, leaving me to Google the most humane way to euthanise an injured frog. Apparently you need to smother it in benzocaine cream, refrigerate it for 12 hours, then freeze it for a further 72. Even if we had 'benzocaine cream' - no thanks. The second favourite option is to take it to the vet to be put down - er, no, not at half nine on a Friday night. The last resort is to 'quickly and cleanly' decapitate the frog with a very sharp blade, which is why I've just found myself cutting a (clingfilm wrapped) frog's head off, over the downstairs loo with a pair of sharp kitchen scissors. Jesus titty fucking christ.
It's what she would have wanted?

Got. Episode 3. Done.
Still enjoying it muchly.
Although, a 3 hour film would be better.
I tend to get bored with all these spread out money making seasons* that the new fangled kids love. Only one I can recall sticking with to the end was Hannibal. And that's cos it made me hungry. I'll definitely watch all of this one though.
Tldr; I'm a grumpy old boot with no patience.

Frog chat. The squeal they make when the cats in the neighbourhood are torturing them is awful. Tiny little things make a real racket. We get quite a few on our back garden. None for a few weeks thankfully though. I take the side of said bullied frogs and have a water pistol/gun ready to try and get rid of the cats. I just delay the inevitable really and eventually concede defeat, close the patio door and windows so I cant hear the screeching as the poor little things are murderised for fun.
