Morning. Nothing much has happened here. Oh, hang on. Last night a known repeat offender dumped a load of Cheerios outside Tootsie's front door, and I mean about 3-4 boxes worth. Still there now, although a bit soggy with the rain.
There's more to this story, but I can't be arsed to type it all. It's just an ongoing spat between a woman and Toots.
3/8 - Don't know anything about futbol.

Morning, Theres a lot of weird ghoulish freaks in Edinburgh at the moment. The huge effort to make some kind of collective grief over a woman none of us were ever likely to meet and making sure we all know who our Lord King is now is really starting to grind. I will be far more upset for the pensioners that die because they cant afford their heating. 48 hours should have been enough disruption to satisfy anyone that gives a shit. And people being detained for holding signs saying 'Not my King' etc is an accurate reflection on what the country stands for these days. Venting over. Games: No Fillums: Watched Everything everywhere all at once, enjoyed it a lot. Waymond is a great name. Do you get the impression that the gawkers in town include a lot of locals, or not? The BBC text coverage of the arrival in Edinburgh on Sunday had three quotes from onlookers - one from Chicago, two from Northern Ireland (one of whom had flown in specially). I think there are a significant proportion of Scottish people but the 'crowds' are minimal.
There is a long queue of Coffin Voyeurs waiting to snatch a glimpse of her casket, but yes I think a lot of them are also tourists. Today they closed the Royal Mile for '5-10 mins' so that one of the very very important people could drive from St Giles to Holyrood. This 5-10 mins turned into half an hour at least, so the incovenienced pedestrians unable to get to their work having to wait to cross the road probably looked quite like a 'crowd'

It is the biggest thing that has ever happened. About the same number of people will be visiting London each day this weekend as usually go to football matches in London each weekend. Fewer than if Spurs/Arsenal and Chelsea or West Ham are playing at home on the same day as an FA cup semi-final That is how big it is.

Thousands of patients have had their hospital appointments cancelled because of Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral on Monday, according to reports.
Some NHS trusts have urged all “non-urgent” procedures and clinic appointments to be postponed after it was announced that the Queen’s state funeral will become a bank holiday and a national day of mourning, openDemocracy reports.
Cancelled “non-urgent” appointments include hip and knee replacements, cataract surgery, maternity checks and some cancer treatments. Many patients had been waiting months for surgery only to have it cancelled a week beforehand. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/live/2022/sep/13/king-charles-iii-northern-ireland-queues-view-queen-coffin-edinburgh-london-live

Guess the family will be looking to have a house clearance now she's gone. Clothes to the local charity shop and corgi's to Battersea.
