Rocky III Creed 2 Rocky Rocky IV Creed Rocky II I’m thinking Rocky III is a bit, uh … racist, kind of, so I don’t know why I’ve put it as number one. It is entertaining. I haven’t seen Rocky V or Rocky Balboa. I suppose in essence they’re all terrible. Ah man… Paulie does a couple of racisms in III, and one in Balboa. The one in Balboa probably stands out a bit more, as it was released in 2006 The thing is … with Rocky III … Paulie is shown to be racist, and an ignoramus. I think Rocky pulls him up on it. But …. But but but Even though … there is a kind of message of inclusion with … Rocky going to train with Apollo … there is also this idea of, um … good ways of … being black … and bad ways … Like the film is saying ‘If you’re black don’t be aggressive, angry and hypersexual. Be … cool. Be a smooth-talking black person, who wears American flag shorts and goes to support … Rocky … or white people’, maybe ... Maths next. I haven’t done my homework. |

I hadn't realised the Iranian team didn't sing the anthem as a form of protest against their government. Presumably they are risking more than a yellow card or a fine from FIFA for that.
