Hello
I got home yesterday and the pm was banging on about Joe Lycett and David Beckham. Or was she? Maybe she just mentioned it. I said that Joe Lycett wasn’t even gay. I said he was bisexual but then claimed to be pansexual. She then asked me if I was bisexual or pansexual. I’ll be honest with you. I’m probably a bit bisexual. Just a wee bit. I don’t know. I’m just open-minded. But even so - I felt a bit ‘put on the spot’ and said ‘none of your business’ in a jesting way. But then I felt that evasiveness spoke volumes and I was embarrassed. At one point the pm said she could tell something was up. And I said that there wasn’t. Then I played Fortnite.
After Fortnite I thought maybe it was time to read the pm a draft section of a creative writing project I’d been spending a lot of time on ... It’s powerful content. But she seemed indifferent to the prospect and I felt rebuffed. I lay awake for most of the night but my thoughts eventually drifted to someone in my team at work who is shambolically disorganised … The big question in my mind was how I would give them a book on personal organisation without them being offended. I don’t know.
The pm and I had a full and frank conversation this morning. Well, semi-full. Semi-frank.
What a life. Thanks for letting me over-share.

phone answered at 8:40,
appointment at 9:20,
load of blood tests and an ECG booked for 12/12,
