I've just been to Aldi to pick up some provisions, as I've got folk coming round later for the footyball. As I'm on my way to the checkout, I pass a group of pwopah laaads. Upon spotting my wares of pizza and beer, one of them shouts something along the lines of "weeeeeeheeey football iniiiit bruuuuuuv". This caused a number of people in the aisle to turn and stare.
I guess you had to be there

Hello you lot. Off into town tonight for a friends birthday. Actually into town! Amazing. As in Brighton? I've been out there a few times recently. Expect a calm and relaxing time, where everyone behaves like they are normal people. It's also very cheap |

Tonight I shall again not be watching the Qatari soccerball festival. Instead our daughters are coming over to put up and dress the christmas tree, drink prosecco, order a takeaway* and watch Elf.
A newly coined crimbo tradition apparently. Super.

It’s a terrifying season to be Terry. There’s a very high chance that when interacting with another person they will say something along the lines of ‘did you see the match?’ or ‘watching the match tonight?’. I usually just cut it off with a blunt ‘no’.
Luckily I’ve not been outside for the past two days so it’s not been an issue

Not even the supermarkets are safe. Although I’m not sure rod hull, Belgian buns, one of those chunks of frosted fruit cake and onion ring crisps screams “watchin’ the match”.

FFS. Asda never delivered booze for me today and I've left it too late to pop to the shops for beer as the child is due back from Brownies imminently.
Was tidying after dinner and hanging a washing up.
