I’m pumped about the fusion breakthrough. Unlimited power: An end to the climate crisis; desalinisation; plastic broken down … efficiently. The last one seems less exciting but it would still be a big deal, I think. Potentially. I mean potentially these things could happen.
On the flip side … give fusion power to a chimpanzee and what would take place?
I fear we will go a similar way.

The head gasket is a really tiny thing.
It's expensive to replace only because of where it is.
Depends on the value of the car as to whether it is worth having done.

It’s more the problems in getting all the oil of of the cooling system and coolant out of the oil system.
It runs….. just, but on a 20 year old Citroen isn’t worth the effort of putting right the mess…. Possible engine swap, or scrapyard.

No guarantee something else won't go immediately.
Better off putting the money into something a bit newer.
A car is a generous Xmas present. If you buy me one I will let you have a roast potato on Xmas day. Not my best potato, but a good one.
