Hello
I’m reading ‘A History of German: What the Past Reveals about Today's Language’ by a man called Joseph Salmons.
Absolutely fascinating.
I say that, but … if I’m being honest I don’t understand a lot of it. I let it wash over me and put it down and close my eyes, then drift into the most beautiful sleep.

I'm not reading anything because I have got a television and it's not the 1950s. I watched Aberdeen play really well for 94 minutes last night. They deserved the win. It is a shame that the game went on for 97 minutes. A calamitous final 3 minutes.

I’m currently reading Hogfather. A Christmas classic.
I’ve also started on An Atlas Of Tolkien, maps and a history of Middle Earth. Some deep nerdery there, but it’s lovely to look at.

I am reading Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, by a young up and coming author called Jules Verne. It's pretty niche, so I don't expect many people to have heard of it
It's about a bloke who mooches about in a submarine
I'm finding it quite boring to be honest

Couriers are busy, blah blah blah. So why offer next day delivery you can't fulfill? New jaiket now coming tomorrow when I'm not here. First world problems i realise. Off into work tomorrow.
My boss has finished and I'm the only one in my office so I might "update" the Xbox. It does probably need it Tbf.

No mention of Warzone 2 in the top 20? It probably has more players than all the games on that list combined.
Also, Elden Ring is just a roll and slash simulator (I feel like I'm stealing that line from someone).

i done fucked up.
i was cooking a lamb hot pot ready meal in the halogen oven. When i tried to take it out (wearing oven gloves, of course - safety first) the now pliable container slipped through my hands. My attempt to catch it resulted in me liberally spreading the contents over the kitchen floor, the kitchen units and my feet. The resultant mess was quite spectacular.
And a fucking pain to clean up.

There was no way I could pick up that mess in 3 seconds. Fifteen minute rule?

You have to say what book you are reading, otherwise how can the rest of us judge you? I think it is called The Name of All Things by Jenn Lyons. It might be one of her other books. I am not expecting a kind judgement. It isn't that bad a book as terrible fantasy novels go. But I have got 3,500 pages of her books to read. I wouldn't really recommend them. I have bought, but not started Alice Roberts book about Medieval Britain. I am hoping it is good. Also Peter Heather's new book has arrived. Alice Roberts is one of those people who seems to be smiling at all times, even when speaking. You can hear it in their voices too. I despise the smilers.

Maybe Alice Roberts just enjoys life. I can see why you might dislike that.
