Ottm: my oven broke down last night, probably terminally. An auspicious start to the proceedings. Have you tried googling the problem and the oven model? It's quite probably a common problem, and they often have fixes that a competent practical person with a basic tool kit can fix without too much difficulty. |

I only gone a done a game last night. In memory of Tenthen, RIP in pieces, we put the Switch on and played Mario Kart 8. You've probably never heard of it. I managed to hold my own (oooh matron) against the younglings and we all won a few races. It was fairly even stevens, probably the eldest is the champ overall. My go-to is Toad in a Mercedes. I remember the N64 (?) version around 1998 that was a nightly event in a shared house, we knew all the short cuts etc, I wonder if MK8 has similar short cuts?

Also have the keys to a friend's house down the road where in theory we could do the turkey before shoving it in the car, driving it home and dropping it on the pavement.
