Tuffers you'll be pleased to know that my lie-in was curtailed by the child demanding food at 08.10. Morning. Wee bit of Last of Us. Sneaked by the armoured car which was a lot easier than I thought. About to try and sneak through a checkpoint to get out the city. I fear it's going to kick off.

Now in a panic falling towards the ground he see's a man flying up towards him at an incredible speed. In stunned disbelieve as they pass each other the sky diver screams out "do you know anything about parachutes!", the man shouts back "No, do you know anything about gas boilers! |

I'm unconvinced central heating systems are a fertile area for jokes. If you can't laugh... The boiler is so old it's obsolete so that they can't get replacement parts for it. (TBF- it's over 30 years old and the last guy to service it wanted to condemn it because of all sorts of broken CORGI regulations.) I feared that this would be the outcome. £2,450 to get it done tomorrow or Thursday ... |

Morning! You rag-tag bunch or survivors.
Belated New Year greetings. I lost my posting mojo over the festives, but now am back at work so need to look busy by tapping a keyboard again.
Predictably busy Xmas this year, what with 2 of the PMs kids and their tribes due over, meaning we were expected to cater for 18, but as their wives cannot stand to be in the same room as each other they arranged to come on different days so we had to do 2 consecutive Xmas dinners FFS. Tribe 1 brought plenty of booze but then took the leftovers home.... Lot 2 brought not enough booze even for them, and started on my stash. Drunkbuddy also joined Tribe 1 for the day, and had the foresight to call in on Xmas eve with a rucksack of cans and bottles for us to store overnight, so he could travel 'light' on Xmas day itself.
PM has since come down with an absolute snot-gobbler of a cold, and has been producing world-class lung nuts since NYE. Tried to get to the docs this morning, but they wouldn't see her nor send a scrip for some antibiotics to her chemist, so she is full of the joys. I am off out shortly to find some OTC meds that might help.
I plan to catch up on last weeks boxes at some point, so expect some random comments as i re-live all your tales of merriment (tm)
