Last Giant down first time. The DS2 platinum can surely only be an hour or two away? It took me about a fortnight after first killing the Last Giant to get my platinum. That's 336 hours of playing time, to be clear. Anyone else slightly drunk at the moment? |

It’s taken all night, but finally the swelling has gone down.
Yes, my square eyes from watching so many films on my new 49” 4K HDR Dolby Vision TV. What’s that I hear you say, whore? Why yes!
Spent yesterday setting the thing up. First thing I realised was that when I originally went looking for a TV it was only a 44”. At some point, envy took over without me remeasuring the space the telly was supposed to go in. My problem now is that my seat on the sofa is no longer the ideal position - a little keystoneing of my view. Sally’s seat is now ideal. Grrrr.
Anyho, RuPauls Drag Race looked amazing. You could actually see the ladies tuck line.
Then we watched;
Blade Runner 2049
Dunkirk
Mad Max 4:Fury Road Black and Chrome edition
I then went looking through iTunes for more Dolby Vision filums, realised LOTR hasn’t been upgraded (grrrr what else is Peter Jackson doing!) neither have Star Wars (all only available in 1080p) so I bought the Batman trilogy - which looked amazing.
Today I need to test the Plex 4K streaming, see how that goes.

I have also totally lost the knack of parrying. But I am loving it - more than DS1, which is unexpected. |

Im at a chess tournament in a private school in Yarm.
It has its own river.
All day and I dont actually get to watch my daughter play chess.
Wish Id brough my Vita.
If she gets through the next round is in Manchester which is obviously an issue.

I went for a run along the coastal path this morning. Incredible views, great weather, probably my favourite hour of the year so far. All downhill from here.

We're in Shawlands this morning getting the child's haircut. It's where we used to live before we had a child. All the places we want to eat lunch in are full of childless 20/30-something's as the sun is out. Fuckers should be in bed hungover/on a comedown.

So Birmingham beat Fulham to stay in the Championship and condemn Fulham to the play off lottery. Sheep will be pleased.
And we avoided meeting Fulham in said play offs thanks to a last minute Boro equaliser. Not sure if that's a good result or not.

Skyrim: my knee still hurts, but I've now completed my guard training. I can't wait telling the next Dragonborn that I used to be an adventurer like them.
Actually I've been back to Helgen. Fairly dismal scene. Back home, sorting myself out, and now on my way across the mountains to Winterhold because I really need those spells. Lydia and I have just discovered a chicken that has been impaled on an icicle. We have now avenged said chicken by killing the ice mage who was clearly responsible and who had hoped that the evidence would simply melt away. Then had the chicken for dinner.
Dinner: icicled(?) pesto chicken with pasta, Italian red.

Had a dozen matches on Fortnite and best result was eighth. I think the new season brings either a lot of players back or lots of new players as I was racking up quite a few kills (got 3 in a match) Watched some Bone Tomahawk on Netflix which was average. I am too ill to get drunk though, feel terrible.
