I'd like to know amipal's view. Both Challenger 2 and AS-90 are powerful systems. Challenger 2 is arguably one of the best tanks in the world - only one has ever been lost in combat, and that was due to a direct hit from another Challenger 2… The trouble is, neither vehicle are simple devices. They need substantial logistics, and both use of and maintenance of the machines require a lot of training. Neither system was designed for use by a conscript army, unlike the legacy Soviet vehicles. Challenger 2 also sports a rifled 120mm gun, which uses a completely different type of ammunition to the common smoothbore 120mm used by other NATO MBTs. So that’s another challenge for Ukraine’s logistics to deal with. Honestly, as much as I want to see Challenger 2 popping turrets in Ukraine, they are going to prove difficult to use effectively. But I think ultimately we’re sending them to make it easier for Germany to say yes to allowing Leopard 2 usage by Ukraine. |

But I think ultimately we’re sending them to make it easier for Germany to say yes to allowing Leopard 2 usage by Ukraine. This is my thought. Also, Vlad will make it a priority to take them out asap to dissuade Germany et al to send more.

Left over lasagne for tea. Boodiful.
The eldest also made Empanadas in Food Tech so I had one of them too - pray for Tuffers. Actually it was nice, well it tasted nice, I just hope hygiene is part of the lesson.
Going to watch The Last of Us shortly by using perfectly legitimate means I got from Nadim Zahawi.

Wow. The Last of Us first episode was utterly brilliant. 10*
It exceeded my expectations. Would recommend. Hope the rest of the series is as good and as true to the game.
