It’s Big Overshare Tuesday. You first. This is going to be a very long day - I have got as far as being punctuated with needles, I've replied to my surgery's questionnaire, paid my outstanding debts (I can't operate my bank card, and I won't trust anyone but my neighbour with the pin), and now I await the blanket boys. After that I have 2 district nurse visits, one of which requires the morphine (and if last week is anything to go by, that will be effing agonizing). I am definitely not looking forward to the rest of today... |

BF4. Battered the Chinese tanks and I'm now making escape from a Chinese prison with some Russian lad and my pal. Don't think I got this far last play.

Work. Two bosses up the foodchain went for the job of three bosses up the foodchain. She didn't get it. So will probably now leave. Which is a real shame as she's lovely, good at her job and has loads of contacts. I know they have to go on the interview etc but the pencil pushers up stairs have fucked up.

Amazing how often genuine talent gets bypassed - normally in Local Government because it's 'buggins' turn. I shuffled myself out of the pack when I was an Assistant Borough Librarian and headhunted at 33y - offered more money, a company car and a ton of travel; but effectively I was paid less per hour. However, my life was a damned sight more interesting! She may well have done OK on the interview - you're always your own worst judge of that... |

Morning all!
Chilly start this morning, which resulted in some beautiful mist sitting in the hollows of the Downs as I descended towards Falmer this morning. Photo-worthy*.
In the office today, where we’ve been informed that we’ll be moving back to car-shares only for access to the car park in the near future.
TVblog: Arrested Development, followed by DS9. The latter was an episode called “The Visitor”, and absolutely did not have me in tears**.
*did I have my camera on me? No.
Could I have stopped to take a photo? Also no.

It’s Big Overshare Tuesday. You first. I discovered my wife having an affair, and as a result of my reaction, I received a 99-year jail sentence. Fortunately, I was able to befriend the senior management of the prison, who rewarded me by allowing me to walk the prison dog each evening, outside of the prison grounds. I managed to get my cousin to supply a female dog, which the prison dog became accustomed to visiting and mating with. I was then able to break out of the jail, and when the prison dog was released to help with efforts to recapture me, the dog went the wrong way, towards the place it was accustomed to meeting the female dog. Thus I was able to successfully escape prison. |

Over sharing you say?
Trying to get my house sold, but solicitors are useless and uninterested. There's also some issue with the land registry blah blah been dragging on since October. Trying to buy a flat, but solicitors etc blah tedious bollocks
Also trying to get the mammal who no longer tolerates me to come and pick up all her massive amounts of stuff from the house has been an ongoing battle for several weeks now
Also mum not well, in and out of hospital etc
Also foolishly agreed to go on holiday next week with some family members, but they are apparently incapable of actually sorting anything out so it's been dumped on me last minute to fix everything
Also, work, cost of living, parenting etc
And people wonder why I drink

In an effort to fit in with the rest of you and over-share, I realise now that it's possible I accidentally mixed my life up with the story of the Country and Western ballad Ol' Red, popularised by Blake Shelton. (A lovely panegyric to destructive behaviour; it crackles with toxic masculinity from its opening refrain "I caught my wife with another man, it cost me 99", to its closing moral "Love got me in, and love got me out".)
Though I'm pretty certain tacitly admitting that I sometimes listed to C&W counts as over-sharing.
I've reported Rolling to the police for that murder he did in Reno.
