Morning all! On the way back from Stroud. A fantastic day yesterday - anyone in the west/south west of Britain should definitely book a visit to The Retro Collective - www.retrocollective.co.uk/Spent the morning in The Cave. Did my best to steer away from the Amigas, though I did finally get to see an Amiga 1000. Highlights for me were the Sharp X68000 (very pricy Japan-exclusive home computer) and the Vectrex (vector-based console). Had some great multiplayers games on the N64 and A600. After an hour’s lunch at a nearby pub, we then descended into the Arcade Archive. A recreation of a 1980s arcade, with Operation Wolf, Centipede, Robocop, Star Wars, Qbert and many more. Quite chuffed with getting in fourth-place on the Robocop high scores! Shame that the place is 140-odd miles away from me, would love to go back more often and with my son in tow! |

The rave is still going. Apparently South Yorkshire Police have stated it's a problem for the council to sort. Terry 'El Danker' Daky is probably going to get that Zelda, but I really fell off the first one. It was good until you realised the best approach was just to run past everything and avoid fighting it, because your weapons would just break.
I'm on the planes again tomorrow, en route to the middle/south east. Packed schedule then back first thing on Friday. I'm hoping not to die, but this may be optimistic. Four cast says non stop thunderstorms the entire time I'm there. Top banana.
Games - Advanced Wars. I can see why the delayed releasing it. A sudden invasion by a caricature of a mad Russian leader. Its high level banana.
