Been in the pub all afternoon, watched the Starfield presentation, twice*, I played** NMS on release and therefore am in a reasonable position to give a considered reply to their comment, which is: BabyfarkmcGeezak is a Poopy Head. * Alanah Pearce and CohhCarnage's reaction vids. **and enjoyed There are many, many similarities with NMS. The procedurally generated planet content, the artifacts, the mining/harvesting, building bases (and probably fleets), fighting pirates on land/air, heck even the astronaut suit looks the same. They took NMS and made it less cartoony. I'll probably still buy it though. |

No Man’s Sky didn’t really get much better, to be honest. I think they could have fixed it by making the spaceships more exciting to fly. You should have been able to crash the spaceships into the planets.

I just booked a houseboat in Bruges. I deliberated over booking it because it felt like a lot of money and there was a ‘no refunds policy’. In the end I did book it though. About an hour later I got a message from the owners saying something like ‘Ahoy there’, and telling me how much fun I was going to have on the boat. Then they said that water was limited and they might have to prohibit bathing.
What the hell?

Starfield looks like a poor man's NMS, I hope that I am wrong. Two episodes in on that Gallows Pole thing, it's like they dumped the cast of Hollyoaks into 17th England and dressed then accordingly but told them to speak as normal. It's a bit shit TBH.
