Morning non-human Mexican mummies!
Last night I watched a fillum called The Last Stand (2013) starring a young old Tuffers Schwarzenegger. Lots of shoooty bang bang, but overall dreadful, just like my face. 4*
OTTM, just had a call from the PM (she's in the office today) to say she can't be bothered to pick up some waitrose indian food after work (as planned) so it's takeaway instead. Yay! Now we all just need to reach a consensus. I'm hoping for shawarma or mixed grill from the Kurdish lads. We shall see...

Rolling are you in training for something? Fed up with booze and aff it? Finding you're drinking too much? I've no issue with any of that. Or any reason for not boozing. The "90 days sober" mob on Instagram are the new annoying Vegans though. You're not sober, you weren't an alcoholic. The fact you've been able to give up booze and post shit every day on insta about it shows us that. I had a couple of big pissups recently which I didn't enjoy, and the hangover really wasn't worth it. So I decided to try only drinking when I really want to. Make it special, like a scubar 'like'. |

Will dropping the booze help?
Surely booze is there to fill in the cracks and silence the doubts. Or at least make the noise bearable. Takes the edge off.
I suppose you could fill things with a fulfilling career, a happy family life, exercise and a positive outlook.

I'll be hitting 50 in February 2025. Sounds like I need a plan for some sort of mid life crisis, a new 'thing' I've always wanted to do, or maybe doing something reckless like, erm, a tattoo or a high powered sweet hog to kill myself with. Maybe join a cult.

I've actually been thinking a fair bit recently about being a pot head again or maybe taking some ecstacy. Not had an 'e' since about 2012, or a joint since about 2014. Probably help with getting on at work too, and getting the younglings to university.

Apart from the odd attempt to recreate 'old times' and realising it's shit really. It's a young mans game. Although I reckon I could enjoy a few weeks in Amsterdam on my own. The first few trips I went it was still Gilders, before Bonkers Brussels made rules so all the joints had to be straight and vegan. |

Have you considered switching to an exclusively crisps (and other bar snacks possibly) and booze based diet?
I'm not saying it is a great idea, but it's achievable.
I worked with someone who ate a fantastic amount of crisps. Tiny and thin as a rake as well.
I think the secret was not eating much else.
One evening she demolished two grab bags in a about a minute. Back in the days before shrinkflation. Power snacking at its finest.
The excuse was she hadn't really eaten lunch as she was too upset and had mistakenly bough a Boots sandwich which was horrible.
I didn't like to say I'd actually bought the crisps with the intention of having some of them myself .
