Twenty five years ago I spent all my money on thermals, skiing gear and an igloo when 'The Science' said there was going to be an ice age and Britain would be like Siberia. |

This is from Keef's article. I have never bought this argument. Of course it's an illusion of freedom, it's a game. The question is how well it's executed, not how illusory it is. It's like complaining films are bad because you can't decide what happens. This is just neoliberal ideology creeping across the culture - the idea that unlimited choice is the gold standard.
