If you took Squires away I'm pretty sure Scubar would have nothing to live for.

Anybody played Vampyr? Is it any good or is it another one of Sheeps shonkfests?

Good morning. Yesterday I did some job applications and went to the gym. When I got back the Mrs was sadly in control of the TV she didn't want, so no games apart from a bit of Pokémon quest on the switch. The absolute pits. Relinquishing the remote control to go to the gym? That's two basic mistakes right there. Are you suggesting I take it with me? That's genius.

If you made the right choice originally and bought an Xbox you could just stream that to a laptop or other windows 10 device and play on there whilst your life partner watches Poldark or whatever.

This may shock you. I've bought Vampyr. It turned up a day early so I have installed it already. I am balls deep in Dark Souls (NG+ Anor Londo waiting to greet Sid & Ernie) so I can't actually play Vampyr.
The opening movie is sweet.

Life partner? Have we moved away from preferred mammal now?

In my off hours from Dark Souls I am reading book 3 of the The Expanse.
Sleep is for the weak.

I've just finished my research for the next Fallout NV run, build, perks, stuff to aim for etc and am now ready to start
How many people do this on big RPGs?
I suspect most people just dive in and "play the game", but I really enjoy the prep

Prep? I'm planning on finishing Dark Souls without ever working out what Humanity is for.

RPG prep:
1. Buy game. 2. Pick class. Usually something reasonably cowardly. 3. Make avatar hideous. 4. Git gud (optional) 5. Fashion.
It’s a universally applicable approach.
The only things you need to know about NV are where the ratslayer, anti-material rifle and legendary mini gun are hidden. Happily they’re easy to stumble across.

I always like to pick up the blade runner gun too.

Egde's 6/10 review put me off Fallout NV.

Egde's 6/10 review put me off Fallout NV. 6/10 is a solid score for Edge. I didn't think they rated it that highly.

Prep would really spoil the game for me.
Look at me running around without a clue in Skyrim. I could have watched hundreds of tutorials on the best build, where to get the best gear, etc. But it's no fun if you don't find out these things as you go. Or only learn about them when it's far too late.
It doesn't feel right if at one point or another I'm not kicking myself for missing the obvious or feeling really smug about discovering something others might have missed.

Fallout Preppers are the worst. I'd expect a certain amount of real life prepping to have occurred as well. Supplies of canned meat, Large knives. Coke bottle caps stored. Adult nappies bought.

Hello there peeps.
I'm a bit confused by Fallout: New California. If this is a huge mod shirley this won't make an appearance on console anytime soon, non?
Also how are you all playing New Vegas, is this on PC too? I have an irradiated itch that needs scratching

Prep, for Fallout? Nah mate. You can't go too badly wrong on the new (from 3 onward) ones. Go for a nice high perception, get a big gun and aim for the eyes. Easy peasy.

I may look into playStation now and see if that works instead. 12.99 a month seems a bit pricey though

I don't think you could get any mods on console NV, let alone a whole new game type one.
