I'm not getting at Lazybones. I'm sure his 20 minute completely batshit unhinged explanation of a minor gripe was perfectly reasonable in the circumstances. Especially as I didn't have to listen to it.

these things would have been easier had I not had a massive hangover. I was also driving so a hairy dog was out of the question.
according to the garage I should get my new wheels back in a couple of days after a thorough gearbox and clutch rebuild. Hopefully the warranty will pay for the work. Guessing this is why the previous owner wanted rid of it.

I didn't mean to make everyone to quiet this afternoon. I was just amusing myself.
I had to visit clients I would describe as tending to be a bit needy yesterday and I am still countering about it.
They are nice people, in their own way, but they do like to chew over things a lot. Especially small issues that don't make any significant difference. I am patient with people like that, but only on the outside.
I noted Babyfark, Fiddles and Animal all failed to take the hint. A mark has been made on the spreadsheet.

They’ve had it 10 days already. In 2 days they’ll have had it longer than I have. Sounds like it’s needed a full gearbox rebuild, hopefully I’ll get a detailed list of work done when I get it back. |

Gearboxes are horrifyingly expensive, even reconditioned/ repaired ones. I had to pay £900 for one about 15 years ago. It was cheaper than relaxing the car. A new one would have been about £3k.I
I see a reconditioned one is about £1,200 plugs fitting now.
And that's on a cheap car. If you fuck a semi-auto gearbox on a BMW you won't see much change from £5k for a repaired one.
Gong , hope it all covered for you.. A power (transmission) move.

It would make more sense if they called it 'Chessington place of queues, rides, shit food and overpriced tat'. I guess that's why I'm not in marketing
