morfternoon all.
PM came back from shopping with a bag of bacon ‘mis-shapes’. I was expecting some wonky half slices etc, but by crikey these were slabs/pyramids/chunks an inch thick you name it. Bit stumped for ideas what to do with them, so diced ‘em and rendered them til crispy, drained them off, assed a couple of chopped onions in the fat, then layered them into muffin tins lined with puff pastry, topped with grated cheese, and baked til I dribbled.
oh man I think I’ve invented a new staple food-group. See you on the cholesterol ward!

The couple that do the local organic veg boxes have today had a kind of farmers market for local producers. I don't normally drink that much but there was a fella there who has an orchard and produces his own cider. He said he's about 5 miles down the road. It's 7.4% and reminds me of the cider from the free festivals back in the 70s and 80s. Mind you back then they used to lace the local rough cider with acid any any thing else that was lying around. I know I'm going to regret drinking to much of it today.
