What a day it's been so far - car back from the garage after developing an ear-splitting and very expensive sounding grinding noise, turned out to be a stone in the brakes and only cost 30 quid to fix, then I found a half-eaten packet of Haribo 'Tangfastics' in the driver-side door pocket on the way back! Unbelievable scenes.

I have a dilemma I've just discovered something has gone wrong at work. I'm about 85% certain it's my fault, but so far it doesn't look like anyone has picked up on it. So, the decision I need to make is.. who should I try to blame it on? Flag to management that you have pro-actively detected a problem. Let them know you've taken ownership of it. Offer to re-prioritise your already busy workload. Quietly fix your original shonky workmanship. Flag to management that you've resolved the issue. Offer to produce a full RCA, as long as you can delegate your day-to-day work. They will say No. If they do say Yes, palm off your work to someone else, play games for a couple of days, and finally blame an unspecified systems issue, now patched. I vote Gong for new leader.

Faceless - I would just come clean, you don't want it all suddenly coming out the woodwork months or years from now.

I got to the end of a busy period at work yesterday. I should have been relieved but then I turned on my phone and saw a message from my sister. Ah man …. I need to sort out my life. I have these heavy weights of doom and gloom.
So much gloom.

Surely the underlings impossible to prepare for, unexpected, and unexplained absence led to an otherwise A1+ team being stretched dangerously thin. Luckily you noticed the problem quickly and avoided any damage to morale or company function. Well done, good example to use at your next review!

My sister has the same qualities as the bane of my workplace - the person in my team - a malevolent shambles.
Ah man.
I wonder if it’s possible I’m projecting the negative parts of my personality onto these people. And in fact I am the malevolent shambles.
Jesus.

They also had chicken bakes (foreign muck) and sausage, cheese, bean bakes (proper British grub) in the greggs offer too.

Neil Young
I bought a vinyl LP of Harvest Moon from the website. This was supposed to be sent last week but wasn't. So i emailed. They have deigned to tell me it's actually out in December despite the website saying it is in stock now. Idiots.
On the plus side I have 15% off my next order. I was about to order two more or his overpriced reissue LPs so this is good. They are less overpriced with 15% off. Though I am suspicious this may happen again. The official web store doesn't seem organised to take and dispatch customer orders. It's about 55/55 as to whether everything is despatched more or less on time. I have had difficulty getting them to actually send me stuff before. Though they did send two copies of the Harvest Live AT The BBC DVD.

Surely they'll finish the PS6 version of GTA5 before they get round to this?

Yes. Though he's getting on a bit these days. In exchange for me grumbling they have given me 15% off stuff I would have paid full price for. I am happy with that exchange. All I wanted was them to tell me what they are doing with my £.
