It's the diabetic nurse I worry about. You'd think medical professionals would know better.

It's the diabetic nurse I worry about. You'd think medical professionals would know better. What if it's Type 1 diabetes the nurse has? That's not preventable unlike Type 2. We need to be on top of this kind of faux pas before wolfy gets told he has 6 months to live.

My health, medical and lifestyle advice is excellent. Pyjakson, in your case, I would advise drinking less Glens, and trying to actually make good on that tens boast occasionally; it would help your mental and physical health.

Afternoon boxers,
Good to see the chat is still distinctly high-brow.
Actually been able to get some PS4 gaming done over the last few weeks, mostly Persona 5. Also bought myself XCOM:2 at the end of May during a visit to London only for it to be announced as one of the June PS Plus games shortly after.
Also picked up XCOM:TFTD in the gog.com sale. Nothing like continually getting wiped out in the first few turns of the first mission on the easiest difficulty mode to boost your self-confidence.

I got Brazil in the world cup sweepstake at work.
I am indifferent to this.
I then upset a colleague by suggesting if she didn't want Panama she shouldn't have done such a shit job of picking a random team.
Again, indifferent.

Dr Shenguin is less qualified than Dr Tony Xia.
Which is quite an achievement.

Are we going to do a world cup predictor of some sorts? I think there are spreadsheets going around where you predict scores of group matches and it populates the next round for you to populate again and so on.

I think Shenguin should be allowed a chance to run AVFC though.
I'm not sure he could create a bigger hole for them, but it wouldn't be for want of digging.

I was hoping someone would set up a League on the McDonald's FIFA fantasy thing. Or that a clique has already done this and that one of them might invite me.

I organised a world cup sweepstake which involved prizes worst discipline and worst goal difference in the group stages. I like to channel the box.
There's also some good online sites which will auto pick teams for you if you enter the names of people and another of teams. Saves picking out of a hat.

there's also a prize for the team with the highest cumulative scorers from shirt numbers. Your no 10 scores twice = 20 points. Made more fun when the sub wearing 22 comes on the pitch.

Are we going to do a world cup predictor of some sorts? England will disappoint once again. Well, maybe not disappoint. Meet expectations. And fan antics off the pitch will ruin it for everybody.

actually make good on that tens boast occasionally That quote was lifted from the tinder profile of a girl in my area, which I'd say is pretty representative of what I'm dealing with here. You can only piss with the cock you've got...

My phone just auto corrected Dan Snow to Peter Snow. What was the nature of the show amipal ? Struggling to imagine the format, unless he rapped the Anglo-saxon Chronicle or did a few mother-in-law gags from Pepys' diary? Did he have a warm up act, a filthy David Starkey impersonator perhaps? It was a bit of an advert for his History Hits.tv web channel. But very good. Talked about his childhood, then how his career started, and also about some of the people he has met over the years. The second half was more interesting - he jumped into the history of the location the show is at, so each show is different - as well as doing some quick talks on audience-picked subjects and a Q&A.

scamanderI'm afraid I haven't listened to any of them... in fact, it's rare for me to listen to podcasts at all. The only one I'm currently subbed to is "R U Talkin' R.E.M. Re: Me?" which is all sorts of brilliant. Did you see about the South Coast Meat? 7th July, Brighton.
