I have just been to Sainsbury's. Their alarm was constantly going off every time anyone tried to leave, and the poor fucker working security was obviously under instructions to be searching everyone's bags and checking receipts, under the watchful and very unsubtle eye of the plain clothes security cunt who is always there. I may have gone slightly entitled middle class white man when he tried to stop me from leaving Racist rants at ethnic minority security staff are pretty ugly.

Chucking it down. The PM is off out for her Xmas meetup with two pals. The child and I are getting takeaway. The child wants, again, the meatball marina sub from the BBQ place up the hill. I'm trying to persuade her to get something different. I have just been given 3 months free Uber eats delivery, so I may get that for her delivered and a kebab from elsewhere delivered. Take that Greta. Talking of kebabs, Tuffers was it yourself that was German Doner bound the other weekend? How was it? Free ps+ weekend. Might run around in TD2 and see if I can race online in Gran Turismo yet. The xmas shopping trip, with planned German kebab, was cancelled due to the snow, so not tried it yet.

Morning
I too have been to the supermarket today. As we're not all thieving cockney wankers up here, we don't have to endure all this bag searching and receipt showing southern nonce-sense.
As well as the usual weekly shopping items, I picked up a Christmas bottle of 12yr old Glenfiddich, which was on offer for £31. Also a large bottle of Baileys (for the ladies)*, on offer at £13. Bargain. Oh and some Castello Danish Blue cheese, which wasn't on offer.
*and me.
OTTM, M&S chicken madras, rice and lamb samosa for tea. Hurrah!

I should probably rephrase that...

So is a twelve year old better than a ten year old? Or only when you add in value for money?

The extra ageing changes the taste of the whisky. It should be a bit smoother. But it depends on a lot of things.
Single malt whisky is mixed from various casks and watered to 40% ABV (in general) to get a consistent taste across probably tens of thousands of bottles bottled in different years. It is likely it actually contains whisky from different years. It all depends what the bottling plant is aiming for and also what your tastes are.
It's quite possible to prefer a blend or a young single malt to an older one. Taste is personal.
I was quite disappointed with a 16 year old Highland Park when I had it, but the 10/12 year old and the 18 year old have always been great. I like the Dragon legend as well.
I bought a bottle of Port in Waitrose. Not Sandemans as they didn't have it.

Too much food ordered. Have put some barbecue chicken kebab chunks in a tub for later.
Got a curry meal deal for 1 & a large barbeque chicken kebab for myself & the child. Would have fed the PM as well. Thrown out 1/2 a naan bread, 1/2 portion veg pakora, poppadom, spicy onions.
Christ.

Thrown out? You mean binned? What the hell?
Edit - that's a breakfast of champions!

Crank not on the chews tonight and getting munchies later? Amateur hour. The "problem" with the chews compared to vape/smoke is that you need to wait after a large meal or it doesn't kick in. The chicken kebab I saved will be getting scoffed late at night no doubt. The other half a chew from last night, I'll decide about 9pm. It's kinda late though to start.

Finished True Detective s2. It was not good. Also, a lot of the characters and some of the plot seemed to be lifted from The Big Nowhere by James Ellroy.
Babyfark I've already seen s3. I didn't think it was that bad. Not all that good either, tbf.

How on earth could you not finish the poppadoms? Because you touch yourself at nightBecause the kebab came with a naan bread, as did the curry. There were three poppadoms. We are one each.
