Much as I think UEFA and FIFA are a bunch of crooks, and will never watch a single minute of European Super League football, I can't say I'm not going to enjoy the agonised pearl clutching about authenticity and tradition as various EPL billionnaires are pushed around by a few mega-zillionnaires.
Aberdeen will be fighting Hibs, Hearts and Dundee Utd for the right to finish bottom of the MBS League Division 3 North every other season. |

Talking of the appalling state of humanity, I have just been badly mistreated by my fellow patrons in a branch of Costa Coffee. It was busy and seats were at a premium but by the time I got to second in the queue (after a 15 minute wait) I counted 5 available tables. In the time it took to place my order, all 5 had been claimed by companions of people behind me in the queue, some of whom had just arrived. Cunts, in other words. I realise this is a structural problem facing the cafe industry, but where is the fucking humanity? I am actually furious, and am also sitting in the car.

I got a phonecall from my dad today. The dehydrator I got him arrived. I thought it would appear in a box with a big Amazon smile on, like in the adverts, but not so. I mean I was planning to go to Birmingham and wrap it there.
Anyway it showed up with the words ‘Excalibur Five Tray Dehydrator’ on the box so he knew what it was. He was calling to tell me that he’d already got one. A dehydrator that is / was … I didn’t check the brand.
I’ve now got him some theatre tokens instead.
I also got my sister a book. I did plan to get it but in the shop I saw that the blurb on the back said something like ‘shows a deep empathy for anyone who doesn’t quite fit in’. I worry she will take this badly.
I might explain this to ChatGPT in Dutch. It’s very supportive.

I've just realised my job is actually a reality TV style prank, designed to test how much absolute nonsense one man can cope with.
I've just messaged my boss to say that I'm going to go full Logan Roy, and at some point today someone is getting told to fuck off. She laughed and said go for it. I then told her she was one of the likely candidates. She hasn't responded to that

Been into town.
Picked up a couple of things and ordered stuff from Amazon on the corner of Sauchiehall St. The problem with Xmas shopping today in a nutshell.
I also went to Bar91 for lunch. A place I frequented pre-child. The food is still great and I got soup& sandwich for £8.95
I didn't hang about to see if I could score a Mitsubishi from some guy chewing his face off.
