I've spent the day on the M6 and connected highways. I've also just worked up the courage to open the banking app for the first time in a couple of weeks to inspect the festive damage. All in all, a horrowing day.

Steak tea. All the trimmings. Managed to blacken a stainless pan frying onions and mushrooms….. normally would need the attention of a scourer and lots of elbow grease but PM in her wisdom says…. Oh I saw on some historical kitchen program, go and get me a cup of wood ash from the grate… so I did. Jeepers! Quick wipe with ash and a damp rag and it came up spotless!
Take that, big scrubby!
She’s now going over the hob and draining board with the same mediaeval mixture.

I am listening to Neil Young live at the BBC in 1971 on DVD. I have three copies of this. The first copy has awful sound. The level is too high and it is clipped on the DVD. Neil kindly offered to replace it, which i applied for. Even more kindly i received two replacement copies. I am listening to an audio rip of the first replacement. It's peak Neil.
